It's a sad reality but we can start to rebuild our world.

Feels like we're all trying to ride on a toy train.
Not that I'm getting off...

And the lone survivors are struggling to rebuild society. Yup. These are dark times we're living through. Dark and frightening times.

And the lone survivors are struggling to rebuild society. But without the whole sex thing. Sex in the apocalypse is going to be a bit too rapey most of the time.

Let's hope we can do it right and this new board may last for years or even decades. I finally hit 10 years on imdb (joined 2007) and they're shutting it down.

You know, I watched this interview with Col Needham ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5pLwaxVhwo) and found him a bit irritating! (Though I don't really care about passing judgement on the decision to close the boards; it's just a gut response from being affected by it).

This place honestly kind of feels like IMDb did when I first joined in March, 2003. Everything seems so nice here.

It does feel a little bit like an end of an era... Yeah it's weird. It was so shocking that IMDB would take down their forums.

Initially, it was total shock to see the notice from IMDb last Friday stating that its boards would be closed. As someone who loves film, IMDb has been a significant part of my life since the late 1990s. So, I didn't like the thought of having to use forums on some other website. But now, it's been a few days since IMDb's announcement, and I'm already over it. I kinda like these forums better. Here, the avatars are bigger, you can "like" a post, and you can also adjust the forum colors (which is actually something that I had suggested to IMDb on its getsatifaction site a while ago, but the suggestion was declined).
