Just posting this because a lot of people rip on And Your Bird Can Sing, John and Paul foremost. Lennon hated the song. Personally, I think it's one of the standout tracks on Revolver. The video claims the guitar riff was double tracked, both George and Paul playing identical parts. I've read before that the true founder of this was Duane Allman and Dickey Betts, which made Allman Bros. songs sound so rich. Heavy Metal runs on double tracked riffs. Scorpions, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest all thrive on it. Just go to show what innovators the Beatles were.

Portmeirion 1966, where they would film The Prisoner. Brian recuperating after coming out in hives following the Manila incident. Whenever I see a photo of Brian Epstein I often find myself wondering how different The Beatles might have ended up had he lived......would he have remained the band's manager, and if so, would his influence have been enough that they wouldn't have broken up when they did......or would it not have mattered, and would they still have ended up growing apart and the band eventually splitting anyway ?? 'Prep' for The Beatles segment of the Our World satellite program, June 25, 1967 ^ ^ ^At the “All You Need Is Love” session.
"I always feel a bit nostalgic when I look at this because it was the last-ever photograph taken of Brian, on June 25, 1967. He died eight weeks later, on August 27.
He looks happy and relaxed here, appearing for once without a tie, in an open-neck shirt and a custom-made black velvet blazer with silk braid trim. Peter Brown (and, for some reason, a toy duck) are behind Brian. Getting in the mood, I’m wearing a necklace of hippie Krishna bells."

But they did know Del Shannon. Never got higher than 77 on Billboard. Beatles version ended up being the B side of Please Please Me.

From Quora: Ringo had always been against drum solos. On joining the band, he was keen to point out that he “hated” them, and wouldn’t be doing any. However, as Paul explained in Mark Lewisohn’s The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions, after some persuading, he finally agreed to perform a drum solo on The End: “Ringo would never do drum solos. He hated drummers who did lengthy drum solos. We all did. And when he joined The Beatles we said, “Ah, what about drum solos then?”, thinking he might say, “Yeah, I’ll have a five-hour one in the middle of your set,” and he said, “I hate ’em!” We said, “Great! We love you!” And so he would never do them. But because of this medley I said, “Well, a token solo?” and he really dug his heels in and didn’t want to do it. But after a little bit of gentle persuasion I said, “Yeah, just do that, it wouldn’t be Buddy Rich gone mad,” because I think that’s what he didn’t want to do.” Sound Engineer Geoff Emerick, further recalled in an interview with MusicRadar: “The thing that always amused me was how much persuasion it took to get Ringo to play that solo. Usually, you have to try to talk drummers out of doing solos! He didn’t want to do it, but everybody said, ‘No, no, it’ll be fantastic!’ So he gave in – and turned in a bloody marvelous performance!” www.beatlesebooks.com/the-endwww.quora.com/What-inspired-the-Beatles-to-include-a-drum-solo-for-the-first-and-only-time-on-their-Abbey-Road-albumSAVE FERRIS

ONe fact:
One person in this band said mick jagger is a joke. But here is the trivia:
He said that because he secretly think the rolling stones are better. Personally I think both bands are good.

“I think it’s a lot of hype. I like ‘Honky Tonk Woman,’ but I think Mick’s a joke, with all that f** dancing. I always did. I enjoy it, I’ll probably go and see his films and all, like everybody else, but really, I think it’s a joke.” John, 1970

They are not as bad of a band as many think they are.
They do have some good songs. It's just, you have to be in the mood to listen to some of them.
And also, you have to go through many of the albums in order to find at least one that appeals to you.
In other words, not the most accessible band. But once you put the time into listening to them. It's ultimately worth it.

I'm wondering if the 'new' Beatles song will be released at Xmas.
The nostalgic chunk of me would think another final festive number one would be a lovely swansong for us and the Fabs.
....and if on vinyl or cd...what will the b-side will be?
Anyhows and whatever.....looking forward.
