Why isn't Election Day a federal holiday here in the U.S.? I mean, I know why it isn't, but seriously, it fucking should be. Or at least have it on Saturday.

I'm annoyed that Barry Bonds still hasn't accepted my LinkedIn connection request. What, you think you're too good to be my friend? Such an asshole.

Sports Illustrated apparently named Coach Prime their Sportsperson of the year.
Shohei Ohtani, Nikola Jokic... I guess going 4-8 is the new sex.

Literally any “meme” that starts with “you’ve heard of elf on a shelf…” I've not encountered this one, but if we are gonna talk about the wording in memes and posts that annoy us I could be here all day.

Millie Bobby Brown annoys me. It was one thing when she was younger and Stranger Things was in its infancy, because you can't really shit on kid actors. I mean, you can, because fuck em, but they're still just kids so they get something of a pass. But now she's older, it's time for her to take her medicine. And no, it's not what she said recently about wanting Stranger Things to end so she can focus on bigger and better things. She shouldn't have said it, and it's probably taken somewhat out of context, but I totally get that idea. Even though, yeah its true that Stranger Things basically gave her a lifetime pass to do whatever she wants in life, most actors feel that to an extent. Look at Kristin Stewart. You think she wanted to make those shitty ass movies? It made her rich and now she works with auteurs on the regular, but those movies are fucking atrocious. Anyway, there are 2 reasons why I can't stand her. First, she is AWFUL. You know when you watch your kids in their kindergarten play and you can hear the teacher in the wing whispering what to do to the kids? "Ok Timmy, you're scared now! Sally, you're angry now. Billy, you're a tree!" When Brown is on screen, you can practically see her telling herself "OK, I'm determined. Make a determined face." It's amazingly distracting, and she does it in everything she's in, including the Godzilla movies (the highest entries in cinema). Second, the stupid look on her face.

To be fair to her comments; Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson, who you cited, also said bad things about those movies and how they wanted to move on from them. I kinda don't get Kristin Stewart, but that's another thing. Anyway, I think she's good in Stranger Things, even now when she clearly has a big, outsized ego. But she's lame in other stuff that I've seen her in, and she's kind of obnoxious in interviews. Like she was on Hot Ones and she was pretty annoying, and I really don't wanna be mean or anything, but she's overdoing it on the makeup and clothes. It's not just because she was a kid when she became known and it's a little uncomfortable to see her do that now, but it's also because she became known as a very unassuming character who wasn't trying to be too cool or sexy or glamorous. It would be much cooler if she wasn't trying so, soooooo hard. I just saw her in a trailer for some netflix movie, I think called Damsel(?), that's like a fairy tale but it's gonna turn it on its head and empower women! Ya know... like every other thing like that in the last 10 to 15 years or so where they pretend that's some new concept. (the whole dragon element did remind to write something on the 'what are you watching?' thread that I meant to get to months ago and still probably never will) But in the photo you posted she looks a bit like Olivia Rodrigo, and she annoys the shit out of me these days too.

I didn't watch her Hot Ones episode, but that's a great barometer for determining who is and isn't a good person. Some people come across as obnoxious (Shaq immediately springs to mind) while others are very engaging and enjoy the experience. Paul Rudd's episode stands out and I really like when Jennifer Lawrence was on. When Millie was eating hot wings, did she have that idiotic look on her face?

She was also desperately trying to keep her makeup and stupid hair style intact. Now, again, I don't wanna be mean... she's a young woman and wanting to be attractive and stylish is part of the deal. But, when you're on a show where you're gonna be sweating and tearing up the approach is to just be cool and casual and not show off your red carpet look. She also just displayed an obviously high opinion of herself, and I find arrogance offputting. And by the way... I reserve the right to criticize child actors. Not just for being children, but if you're annoying than your just annoying.

Slightly off topic, but mark me as impressed with what Pattinson did with his pre-teen junk films. I'm sure I hated on him then, but it truly seems like it was a means to an end, so all is forgiven.
