After the disappointment that was The X Files return, Im a bit more sceptical now. But I do have more faith in David Lynch than I have in Chris Carter.

I want to be hyped about the new Twin Peaks, but so many good'uns are gone. In particular, there's Jack Nance who died in '96. It just won't be the same without him. But I am going to watch this. And I'll buy it on DVD/BluRay even if I don't like it.

I totally understand what you mean here Karl Aksel there were quite a few fine actors that passed on since before this " return series " idea began . Of course since we do know how good David Lynch's work has been over the years . IMPO - I think with what he still does have for actors left he will be able to put this short series together in his fine and unique fashion as always . The storyline itself will remain strong as it was before it just needs to be wrapped up . So I'm not too worried just trying to patiently wait to just see the outcome for me that's the exciting overall part . I think also it will be worth having in the DVD or Blu-ray collection as to make the whole collection with the first series complete as well . Thanks Karl Aksel for your reply .

No. Got the blu ray box set. Excellent goodfella2459 ! I just checked that box set out on the Amazon page and looks like a seriously awesome set there . I actually bought The Definitive Gold Box Edition on DVD a couple of years ago and am very happy with it too IMPO - worth every penny . It so wonderful to have both these options now .

The 90 minutes of deleted scenes from Fire Walk with Me alone make it worth it. There are also some great deleted scenes from the series that didn't make it onto the Gold Box Set. Some of which, had parts of Snoqualmie seen, which is where it was shot. This was a pleasant surprise for me, since I've been there numerous times.

That's so awesome on all counts here goodfella2459 - enjoy that precious Twin Peaks Blu-ray Collection too ( it all comes in handy when you want to binge watch and revisit the series again and again ) . I also hope your stay at Snoqualmie was just as pleasant and beautiful as it was in the show too .

anyone re-watching the original episodes of this show from the beginning tonight on the channel SHOWTIME ? ( Eastern times - 7PM to 12:30AM ) I have the actual Blu-ray edition to look at if I'm so inclined. I used to watch this show when it originally aired. I was only a kid back then, so I didn't quite understand what in the world Twin Peaks was about. I just remember it freaked me out a bit, LOL! I kinda forgot about it over the years. When rumors of the show being continued started to spread, that's when I immediately purchased both seasons. I did so back in 2015. Looking at it as an adult, I can see why a child wouldn't understand. There's more to it that you can't get on just one viewing while on live television. I can't wait until May 21st rolls around. I'm going to be glued to my T.V. I'm also glad to see Showtime is useful for something other than watching boring ass Homeland, and the dreaded last season of Dexter.

I totally agree on all points made here Utpe - excellent ! IMPO -This hauntingly memorable show is definitely for the folks who really gravitate towards the unique , intuitive , and surrealistic . These adult-like qualities are never forgotten by us true fans here . Thanks so much Utpe for your reply .

I was given the complete series and the movie on blu ray in a really nice package but I haven't gotten very far into the series. Oh I do highly recommend giving this show and the movie a try even if you only watch it completely once through - it's quite an experience indeed ( plus I was told by other posters here that the Blu-ray collection that you have has even more extras than the DVD version too ! ) . IMPO - I was totally hooked after doing just that - watching it completely through - and the movie also . Although I always wanted to see this show back in the day when it was brand new but never got the chance to . Seeing it and purchasing it in a DVD Collection a few years ago I'm so NOT sorry I did it was well worth it to me . Now ready to watch it again soon to catch up with the new series in May as well . Thanks jamesavalon for your reply .
