There appears to be a "dismembered" hand on the wall in the middle of the photo, between the two men...
It is clear... that it does NOT belong to the woman, because both of her hands are clasped together around the man's hip... Also it can not be the mans right hand either... The only thing left is, his Left Hand? But, he would have to be double jointed or something to be able to do that... However...
If you look closely... it looks like his arm is wrapped around the back of the woman and his left hand is on her waist.
Does he have a third arm & hand...Perhaps? LOL!
If so, it looks untanned compared to his right hand. In Fact, it doesn't match up with anybody else in the photo, either.
Let's assume for a moment, that the photograph wasn't manipulated, and it is genuine...
What's left?...
Someone hiding behind the couple?
Someone reaching over the wall?
But according to the photographer: "I know absolutely, that nobody was behind us."
Is she telling the truth, or was this just a hoax to get attention?
Interestingly...
The location, known as Dovestones Reservoir, has a dark history of deaths - including the very same day the photo was taken, a woman's body was found at the same spot.
Could it be the spirit of the victim "reaching out" to the photographer?
Well... Paranormal or Not...
In My Opinion, that's one of the better claims out there!
YOUR THOUGHTS?

Oh, geez. Sorry to say, MCDemuth, but that all seems pretty silly to me. You see how made up the girl is in that picture in the attached article? This is the kind of person who would do something to attract attention. The mythology doesn’t fit, either: how would a ghost’s hand be as solid and physical as that? And, if you’ll take a look closely, there’s someone’s hair or something peeking out behind the guy. Maybe a kid behind the guy? Wait a sec, she’s a young mom, right? Where are her kids in this “family picture”? Probably behind her husband/boyfriend/partner/whatever he is. Voilà.

The mythology doesn’t fit, either: how would a ghost’s hand be as solid and physical as that? Actually it does fit. Ever hear of "Resurrection Mary" in Chicago? Some guy claimed to have danced with her. And, if you’ll take a look closely, there’s someone’s hair or something peeking out behind the guy. I thought that was part of the guy's shirt. Where are her kids in this “family picture”? Probably behind her husband/boyfriend/partner/whatever he is. Voilà. I not saying for sure that it IS a ghost... I'm just having trouble figuring out how it could be something else. That arm looks a bit big for a child, wouldn't you say... and I don't see how an adult can be sitting on the wall. I wish I knew what was on the other side of the wall... it would help in determining if someone could stand behind it.

I have to agree with Nalkarj on this. The article misleads by referring to it as a "dismembered hand". But we don't know it is dismembered because the man blocks our view of anyone to which it might be attached.
"But according to the photographer: "I know absolutely, that nobody was behind us."
Interesting quote. I can find no part of the article where the photographer gives his/her opinion. The woman is the one who made that claim.
“A shuddery feeling went all over my body, I started to cry, I had a lump in my throat, goosebumps. I was terrified."
Argument from emotion. It has no evidentiary value. It's only included to sensationalize the claim.
"Also, another photo that was taken only seconds afterwards shows no sign of the hand.”
Of course. The person behind the man moved. The person may have already been in motion when the first photo was taken. One second later the person could easily be fully concealed behind the man.
"The location, known as Dovestones Reservoir, has a dark history of deaths - including the very same day the photo was taken, a woman's body was found at the same spot."
Not the same day the photo was taken. It was the same day she posted it on the internet. So my next question is did she learn of the found body first and then posted the picture and make the claim?
When you zoom in, the phantom right hand is somewhat smaller than the hand of the man in front of it. It looks to me like a young person behind the man. Not a small child, but maybe a young teen. And it does appear to be the edge of someone's hair just behind the man's upper arm. Plus it takes a real stretch of imagination to see the hand as pointing at anyone.
So all we have is the claim of one woman with an overactive imagination or a desire to get her 15 minutes of fame. It seems suspicious that the article does not fully investigate the claim, probably because the objective here is to sell tabloids by using tantalizing stories. I'd like to hear the opinions of the photographer and the five other people in the photo assuming they are still alive.
