Gamora is the only MCU character put the safety or welfare of innocent people ahead of her own. But many of MCU's "heroes" are douchebags who put their own selfish needs and agenda ahead of innocent people and thereby endanger the lives of many innocent people. For example: 1. Bruce Banner - In The Incredible Hulk, Banner goes to the university during the day when there are plenty of civilains around even though Benner knew full well that there was a possibility he could turn into Hulk and that would endanger the lives of all those civilains at the university. Banner could've sent Betty Ross to the university to get the data he needed or Banner could've waited until night time when there were fewer people around, but Banner went there during the daytime when tehre would be more people around and thus put at risk the lives of all those civilains at the university. Then when General Ross and his men show up, Banner refuses to surrender peacefully so they could take him away from the university where there were plenty of civilains around. So General Ross, who had a duty to protect the civilains at the university from a dangerous monster like Hulk, was forced to try to apprehend Banner before he could turn into Hulk. But Banner turned into Hulk and slaughtered many soldiers, brave young men and women who signed up to serve their country and were just trying to protect civilains from the university whose lives were put in danger by Banner's reckless decision to go to the university during the day. 2. Tony Stark - Stark decides on his own to create a robot that nearly wiped out the human race. 3. Steve Rogers - Rogers aids and abets a double-murderer to flee from the law. By fleeing, Rogers forced law enforcement to spend valuable manpower and resources to try to track him and Bucky down. That leaves fewer manpower and resources to protect and serve the general public and to catch other criminals, thus resulting in more crimes being committed against the general public thanks to Rogers' selfish decision to aid and abet a double-murderer to flee from the law. 4. Peter Quill - Put his own selfish agenda ahead of the rest of the universe and acted like a total dickhead, helping Thanos break free, which resulted in Thanos getting all of the infinity stones and killing half the universe. 5. Stephen Strange - Gave the time stone to Thanos and then refused to tell anyone how to defeat Thanos. 6. Wanda Maximoff - Made an entire country fight Thanos just so she could keep her robot sex toy. Ross is the one at fault he knows his weapons are ineffective against the Hulk so instead of trying to subdue Banner in a way to mitigate him getting angry and there by releasing the Hulk he engaged head on knowing it would result in a direct conflict, Ross purposely engaged a dangerous enemy with insufficient fire power in a public and crowded location on American soil, he's the bad guy after all you flaming nincompoop.
And before you say why didn't Banner just surrender, 2 things 1 Banner doesn't choose to let the Hulk out in this film it's a biological reaction that he tries but can fail at keeping in check, Ross put him in a extremely high stress situation so Banner couldn't control the Hulk transformation, 2: Banner knows he cannot trust Ross even if he could control it, Banner see's the Hulk as a dangerous monster, he wants to rid the world of the Hulk, Ross wants to kill banner yes but he wants the power to create more hulks, ones he thinks he can control, so why should Banner give himself up to a homicidal lunatic hell bent on creating an army of gamma infused super soldiers/monsters?
2:Thats not selfish it's foolish, even then Tony didn't do it, the mind stone or Thanos caused it, Tony even says in the film they were nowhere close to achieving a working AI to the level of Ultron, he formed himself, gave himself access to the robots and everything else not Tony, also Tony didn't even create a robot he was trying to create an AI, he was making software not hardware in that instance.
plus he did create the AI or ASI as it were and placed it into a robot and that was Vision who stopped Ultron and saved the world, and again how is this selfish? this entire thing may count as reckless if Tony had infact done these things, but as stated Ultron birthed himself via the mindstone or Thanos, also how is it on Tony when he was under the whammy of Wanda?
3: Caps a prick I make no bones about it but with Bucky he knew because he had been told the people going for him were ordered to shoot on sight, then he's told Bucky would not be receiving fair treatment or a hearing because Bucky is considered too high a threat, so Cap did what he thought was right, the selfish thing he did was bring in the others to side with him against the other half the Avengers, he enlisted them to become criminals for his own ends, that's selfish but not the point of your bitching.

6: No she didn't they made the choice to even after Vision told them he chooses to lay down his life, they could have decided if Wanda refused to just rip the stone out themselves and kill Vision negating Wanda's hard choice leaving her to make the simple one of destroying the stone, but they didn't they all chose to try and save Vision first believing rightfully so that push comes to shove Wanda would make the sacrifice as would Vision, they just didn't realise Thanos could reverse their choice.

Actually you have been refuted on all points you fucking buffoon, also as stated the sacrifice thing isn't a rip off but an homage, and Spidey's Spidey sense did work as it alerted him to Maw's ship and seemingly to the arrival of the Guardians, seeing as he was afraid he may get xenomorphed he clearly hadn't seen them coming just sensed danger, as for getting surprised well his Spidey sense isn't clear precognition but more a danger alert he's often caught off guard if the danger he senses comes at a fast enough pace or from a place he wasn't expecting, and we don't know when or where his senses were kicking in except in his intro because they aren't doing the audible cue for it.
And whilst Quill has no superpowers he has advanced tech and weaponry and a lifetime of experience, it is afterall not like he lost a fist fight to Quill.

2: Ross had his men chase down Banner creating stress and everything else, Banner could have transformed at any point during that chase, then he tries to gas him? unless the gas is instantaneous it's useless because the stress if being trapped and gassed is likely to set off a transformation in itself, then Ross is stupid enough to get his goons to physically restrain Betty where Bruce can see it which is what sets him over the edge.
3: Hulk doesn't just start trashing shit once he transforms he fights back against hostile threats, as seen twice in the film once he takes care of those threats he leaves as quickly and peacefully as he can, he's only destructive in response to threats, so opening fire on him isn't going to do anything but agitate the situation, also not all their rounds hit him which atleast absorbs their force and doesn't cause mass ricochets, but hundreds of rounds of missed shots go flying around a campus where Ross hasn't even effectively created a perimeter to keep the people safe, he's reckless and endangering innocent people for his own agenda.
4: He tried that but he for two reasons wants to get rid of the Hulk because A: he hates he can turn into him and cause such mayhem B: He doesn't want Ross to be able to make an army of them, so he needs to be around society enough so he can live, conduct what research he can, and also communicate with those who can help him, he takes precautions when he can but he's also got Ross hunting him down regardless of how off the grid he tries to get.
5: They literally kicked in his door and started firing the moment things kicked off, they didn't identify themselves either so they go into a conflict with a trained soldier without warning and the intent to kill because they were ordered to shoot on sight, you are just making up the take him in if he surrenders part to fit your narrative.
6: They only take him in then because it's in public with people watching and with Cap, Falcon, T'Challa & War Machine all there also, they still when not having hundreds of eyes on them open fired on him & T'Challa without warning minutes earlier.
7: What man power & resources were shown none of that, also it's Ross whose behind it and he's got a history of finding scapegoats and phantoms to justify himself spending exorbitant amounts of money for his own agenda, if it wasn't this likely something else like trying to track Banner again.

Neither of them got anything from their actions, Quill wasn't not going to be able to smack Thanos in the gob after they got the gauntlet off him he wasn't thinking he was simply reckless and emotional, and Strange's actions are likely part of a sacrifice which will lead to them bringing everyone back anyway, but if not he gave his life to save another's, worst case it's fucking stupid but not selfish, again learn the definition of words before you use them.

Here's all you have to do to prove that it was an homage: Post a link of either the Russos or MCU Dictator Kevin Feige acknowledging that they had Thanos sacrifice his daughter in Infinity War as an homage to Agamemnon sacrificing his daughter in The Iliad. Because if they don't acknowledge it, then it's a rip-off, not an homage. It's similar to when you write a report or a research paper for school and you paraphrase an excerpt, idea, or quote from another article, document, or book. If you acknowledge it by putting it in quotes and crediting the author of the excerpt, idea, or quote, then it's OK. But if you don't acknowledge it, then it's plagiarism. Do you have proof either of them know of The Iliad? because you cannot rip off something you don't know of, so if I need to prove it's a homage you need to prove it's a rip off, but seeing how it was probably a trope they liked the idea of and how most people don't get where tropes originate from they just know it as a trope, and if you steal from one person it's plagiarism if you steal from many it's research, so up yours pal. |

I refuted every one of your points more than once. No, you didn't. I pointed out that Spider-Man's Spider-Sense didn't work again in Infinity War since he got ambushed again and taken hostage by a guy with no superpowers and you had no response for that. I pointed out that Infinity War ripped off The Iliad by having Thanos sacrifice his daughter and you didn't even know the same thing happened in The Iliad.It didn’t, actually. Homer only mentions that story in the Iliad, he doesn’t directly show it. It’s an old myth, repeated many times but most famously in Euripides’ Iphigenia at Aulis; some scholars believe that Homer actually repressed the Iphigenia story for some reason. Just to clarify the actual mythology. |
