...I would wonder how much of it has evaporated. Famous 100+ year old Bordeaux wines from France are kept topped off in Chateau cellars in order to prevent oxidation.

I believe I read somewhere that whiskey, once bottled, doesn't really get better with age. Also, depending on what the stopper is (given the age of the bottle, I'm assuming they used cork)... well, if the seal isn't tighter than a duck's asshole, you could suffer evaporation or the introduction of outside odors that could spoil the flavor of the contents.
