8/10. Would have been a 9 without the lumberjack tears.

8/10. Would have been a 9 without the lumberjack tears. Hate the series finale and dislike much of the last season. Seasons 1, 2 and 4 are fantastic though.

Seasons 1, 2, 4 are maybe an 8 or 9 outta 10, and the others would be a 5 or 6. So overall I guess a 7.

I thought it was good throughout, although never great. Season 3 was the only one to have several brief flirtations with greatness (but falling quite a bit short) and season 4 had the best villain, imo. 7/10

7.5-8/10 (basically a 8/10) Dexter (2006-2013) is my 3rd favorite TV show behind Breaking Bad/The Sopranos which are tied for my #1 spot. I have seen Dexter once so far from Sep 1st through Oct 3rd of 2016. I plan on re-watching it before 2019 is finished or no later than 2020. @forceghostackbar That's a bit extreme as there is simply no way a show can go from a 10/10 to a 1/10 like that as that's like saying a show is amazing, as in cream-of-the-crop level, to bottom-of-the-barrel. I assume your exageratting a bit? ; it would seem that way as if a show was THAT bad, it's likely I would have never finished seeing it especially since many hours of ones time would be wasted. personally... while some seasons might have been a bit better than others I don't have any clear gaps between seasons off the top of my head (at least based on my initial viewing as I have only seen the show once so far) as my overall interest in it held fairly steady in general even though it might have some high points and some lower points here and there. them1ghtyhumph That's quite a bit especially given a TV show burns up quite a bit of time as I have seen it once so far from Sep 1st through Oct 3rd of 2016. but I plan on re-watching it probably before this year is finished or no later than next year. I suspect it will hold up. hell, I don't think I have re-watched any TV show in it's entirety that many times so far as I would imagine The Sopranos (1999-2007) is probably the one I have re-watched the most and the only thing I can say for certain is I have seen that at least 3 times, but possibly a bit more (my best guess... 4 times). but what I have on file of The Sopranos (1999-2007) (which are re-watches)... -June 5th through Sep 27th of 2013 -May 1st through June 15th of 2018 all other TV shows... I don't think I have exceeded 2-3 times so far.
-----------------------
that was for your avatar of Vera Farmiga smiling as she's who I refer to as The Anomaly as no one is more overall attractive than she is
I can honestly say she's THE most attractive person I have ever seen (ill be 40 years old later this year and I am a male) as she's been my clear #1 ever since about 2009 even though I first took notice of her about mid-2006 in the movie Running Scared (2006) even though I am pretty sure I first laid eyes on her before seeing that movie. it's that look in her eyes and the warmth she projects etc (I can't fully explain it in words but that's sort of the gist of it) that just makes her REALLY stand out over pretty much everyone else. I would get on my hands and knee's and kiss her foot Vera is fricking priceless! (sorry for the novel but I just had to preach it a bit)
but anyways, you got a link to a full size picture of your avatar? ; I just have to see it.
p.s. the only other person who can even challenge Vera a bit in overall attractiveness for me is... Kari Byron (who's most known for the TV show 'Mythbusters'). so it's like Vera is my #1 (she's permanently #1) with Kari #2 and then there is pretty much a distant 3rd for anyone else (which is not a dis on others, it's just that Vera is so far above pretty much everyone else).

5. What other rating can there be for half a good show?

RomyLovesMickShe can act, and that helps and all, but... that look in her eyes and the warmth she projects etc can't be faked. that's just herself shining through. Vera just glows. Yeah, in terms of what I first seen her in I think it was either that movie you mentioned (The Manchurian Candidate (2004)) or 15 Minutes (2001). I have seen a good portion of everything she's been in. basically about 29-31 movies etc. but like I already mentioned it was Running Scared (2006) when I took notice of her (which was about mid-2006) even though technically I seen her before that movie like I mentioned above. but out of everything of her's I have seen my favorites are... 1.Up in the Air (2009) - 8-8.5/10 (my #1 movie of 2009) 2.Source Code (2011) - 8/10 (my #1 or #2 movie of 2011) -.Running Scared (2006) (my #2 movie of 2006. NOTE: this contains pretty much my favorite scene of Vera's which is the 'pedophile scene' (that's not as bad as it sounds)) 4.At Middleton (2013) - 7-7.5/10 (my #2 movie of 2013) 5.The Departed (2006) - 7/10 (my #8 movie of 2006) in fact, at least for me... there is not another actress I am aware of who has a better overall set of Top 5-ish movies than Vera does. Thanks. here it is ( *holy grail sound plays* )... priceless, as usual

Everything after Season 4 was a a slow descent with the final season being a nosedive into the earth. 9/10 for seasons 1-4 but including everything? 6/10 perhaps.

I gave it a 7 because the show was average to below average from season 5 on. If it ended after the finale of season four, it would be one of the top ten greatest shows ever made.

Perhaps if they had killed the amazingly annoying crack skinny Deb off the later seasons would have been better.
