From the middle of Season 14 thru the end of Season 15 (1977), Louise Jameson played The Doctor's companion Leela, Warrior of the Sevateem on the series Doctor Who (Classic Series), you know, for the lads.
There were a lot of attractive women in Tv shows in the 1960s. I think that Laura in The Dick Van Dyke Show is attractive. I think Ginger and Mary Ann in Gilligan's Island are attractive. I think Samantha in Bewitched is attractive. I think Jeannie in I Dream Of Jeannie is attractive.
The lovely Nancy Malone, a regular on Naked City for three seasons (and no, she didn't get nekkid in that one) was a sensitive and thoughtful actress who deserved better breaks (she did nicely in guest starring roles, though, especially on such anthology series as The Outer Limits, The Twilight Zone and Kraft Suspense Theater, and was always a welcome presence).

Lee Meriwether--yes indeedy she was of a certain type. Sandra Warner, Barbara Rhoades, and Elaine Devry also come to mind as in the same category--can't think of any modern equivalents. Maybe Famke Jansen but she lacks the voice and manner.
Caligula: Do you think I'm mad?...Sometimes I think that I'm going mad. Do you — be honest with me — has that thought ever crossed your mind?
Claudius: Never. Never. The idea is preposterous. You set the standard of sanity for the whole world.
