I found this one kind of boring. The hyperstylized gang structure and comic book panel cutaways were cool. Michael Beck and David Patrick Kelly were good but the rest of the cast was uninteresting. One of my least favorite Walter Hill movies.

The director's cut had the comic panel cutaways but the original theatrical version did not have those. I actually think the original theatrical version is better than the director's cut. It's one of my favorite cult movies.

It's one of my favorite cult movies. Look on youtube and you'll find a video showing the surviving members following the same path that their characters did in the film.

I remember all the hype before the release about how movie theatres were banning it because they thought it would cause riots and gang violence in their theatres. It made me want to see it even more !

The movie was not very impactful, but I still love the scene with the beer bottles clinking on the fingers! "Warriors...Come out and playeeee!" So iconic. As I understand, this was ad-libbed by the actor. Another plus...one of Joe Walsh's best songs!

I don't know why Hill went back and reworked his great film, adding the comic book panels & etc, it really detracts from the original (the version which I believe has still to appear on Blu-ray), although there's an opening scene between two of the leading characters which is worth inclusion - I saw it once on BBCTV years ago so am not sure where it sources from. This and Streets of Fire are long-time favourites of his, for me at least.

The Warriors was one of my favourite films when I was a kid, I rented it many times. It was also the 2nd video I ever bought.

Yes that's the one - a great shame it is not included in either version, as far as I remember.

It's not my cup of tea, although I know it has a sizeable cult following. I would rather have seen a film about the source material, Xenophon's Anabasis. But I realize general audiences wouldn't be interested in that.

Remains one of my favourite Walter Hill films. Still on occasion put the the LP on the turntable - love that main theme.

Yes, that would have been interesting. Perhaps it will be made some day?
