Only 30 gold coins? rats! that's not treasure still cool article. I have heard for years that there are still lot's of potential sunken treasure ships off the Cape of Good Hope, nearly 3000 sunken ships but alot of the coast is owned by private companies. I have a really nice Silver Doubloon from the Atocha and Santa Margarita discovered by Mel Fisher but it was only struck from a silver bar. Now that was a treasure ship, caused alot of grief but still an awesome find. All the shallow wrecks are now pretty much found.

@ politicidal --- Is this just for interest, which indeed it is, or are you exploring some historical point or other?

@ politicidal --- Is this just for interest, which indeed it is, or are you exploring some historical point or other? Fortune and glory. The oldest one in the book.
