Saw this the other week. Would love to know what people think about it.
I can't quite understand why the McDonald's brothers went along with Ray Kroc, they fought him every step even though he was taking all of the risks. I didn't see Ray as such a bad guy to be honest and I think the brothers should never have decided to bring him in as they were obviously happy to stay small.

I really liked it. Keaton is just as great as always.
i think the McDonalds brothers just weren't interested in what Ray was offering but felt he had a genuine interest in spreading their product around. They thought their contract was gonna save them but ultimately contracts can be worthless.

An excellent film in many ways. Required watching for anybody looking to do a startup, for sure.

I enjoyed Nick Offerman's performance as someone who has a vision of how a particular restaurant should be run vs Ray Kroc's own vision of how a large business should be run. They both had setbacks but eventually figured out how to get things to run in a micro and macro way; with Dick McDonald figuring the optimum layout in his restaurant while Kroc figured out he needed to recruit hardworking working class people to run the franchises instead of country club types he played golf with.
