I loved it! No stupid comedy or characters. Excellent SW film! 8/10. Up there with eps 4 and 5 and in many ways better! Better pacing, no tacky dialogue! This rocks!

A great little movie, a lot of fun. Though I wouldn't say there wasn't any comedy, actually there was a lot. But the comedy was organic, as opposed to forced on for laughs sake, like in many movies nowadays.

How dare you like a Disney Star Wars movie! I hope you die soon you fucking fuck! It is a more logical movie to do than Rogue One. We get how Han met Chewie How Han met Lando. Was that a ref to Cloud City? Or is it a prior acquisition that led to Cloud City? How Han won the Millennium Falcon twice. The Kessel Run. Han shot first.

Quick, fire JJ from Episode 9 and get Charles Martin Smith! Lucas visited the set, dude. Ford gave Alden Ehrenreich tips on the character. Watch the first film. Solo is in line with it. The real first film, not the damned prequels.

Better than Rogue One...
Probably just a bit better than The Last Jedi...
But not better than The Force Awakens...

I gave the film a 7/10. It was certainly fun and I enjoyed watching it. But nothing of real consequence happened and we don't know why Han became Han. This was basically the adventures of Young Han Solo.
I thought this was far better than Rouge One and the Prequel Trilogy except for Revenge of The Sith.

This and Rogue One are awesome. However Ep. VII and VIII are awful.

It was actually really good. I've enjoyed the spinoff films more than the main trilogy thus far. Can't wait for Obi Wan adaptation.

I loved it! No stupid comedy or characters. You're not wrong. As I said in my rate movie thread reply, this might be the first SW ever without silly or stupid jokes injected, because it's already a family friendly film. There's no stupid joke quota to fill because the whole movie is essentially a Saturday morning tv cartoon. It's probably only better than The Phantom Menace & The Last Jedi for me.

Totally agree!
Also way better than the prequel trilogy!
As much as I like The Force Awakens and (reluctantly less so) The Last Jedi, and mainly for the return of the original actors at that, this had more of the original Star Wars spirit and feel than either of those films.
I enjoyed it even more than Rogue One, as good as that is.
I haven't experienced this many rip-roaring goosebumps and chills in a Star Wars movie, let alone many movies, as I did with this movie -- TWICE.
A lot of great, thrilling, iconic moments -- Han meeting Chewie, Han and Chewie meeting Lando, Han and Chewie meeting the Millenium Falcon, every scene with the Falcon (especially the Kessel Run and how the Falcon gets that gap in the front), Han winning the Falcon from Lando, the return of the new but familiar Phantom Menace.
Even the moments that are original to this film (in terms of the Star Wars cinematic universe) are thrilling -- the escape from Corellia, the war scenes, the train heist, the Maruaders, the crime syndicates.
This is far superior to even the new Star Trek movies.
Very much looking forward to more Solo screen adventures.
