I heard that "THE RISE OF SKYWALKER" basically wipes out almost everything from "THE LAST JEDI" and also is really basically a direct sequel to "THE FORCE AWAKENS" and could even make it possible for a fan to actually skip "THE LAST JEDI" when watching all of the "STAR WARS" Movies.
Is that all actually true ?
Well no... Luke Skywalker and Snoke are still dead and Kylo Ren is the Supreme leader so anyone that would see The Force Awakens and jumped directly into the Rise of Skywalker would have no idea of what happened to those characters. But it's pretty clear that they didn't have a road map for the trilogy and JJ tried to retcon some stuff that was said in the TLJ.
If I told you that "THE FORCE AWAKENS" was My own Number 1 Favorite "STAR WARS" Movie out of All 11 of them and that I was disappointed by "THE LAST JEDI" (although I do think that it did have it's moments, only a few of them though) then what impression would you get when it comes to how I myself would feel about "THE RISE OF SKYWALKER" which I will be seeing this weekend ?

I'd say you will probably like it.

Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019). How was it ?
I agree with Winter_King's assessment. I like it more than TLJ. TFA is the best of the new trilogy IMO.

That was My Number 1 Favorite "STAR WARS" Movie before I saw "THE FORCE AWAKENS".
