Never sure if I should put these radio-related INTKs here or in the INTK board. Anyway, does anyone know an episode of a show in which a German agent dresses as a British nobleman and ends up at the nobleman’s old Gothic pile in rural England? It starts off as a spy thriller and ends up like Poe—or Jane Eyre, with the mad wife in the attic. (I believe there’s a mad wife or sister who attacks the agent, thinking he’s the nobleman, who drove her mad.) If I’m remembering correctly, the twist is that he actually is the nobleman in disguise as the agent, who is of course disguised as the nobleman! I think the wife et al. were actually actors, but I can’t remember why or how. It could be Suspense or another show; I can’t really remember anything else. Preemptory thanks.

No worries, I actually just found it. It’s “ The Great Impersonation,” based on an E. Phillips Oppenheim novel, from Escape. Very unusual and enjoyable episode.
