When the heist to steal the fuel goes wrong, Tobias Beckett (Woody Harrelson) tells Han that he is so scared of Crimson Dawn that they have to face Crimson Dawn as that is their only hope of even a chance of survival.
Then at the end, in Dryden Vos’ ship, Beckett gets hold of the super fuel and decides to steal it? It doesn’t make sense. What changed? Isn’t he still scared of Crimson Dawn?

My only guess is there were so many people that tried to make this movie that it became a mess and you get stuff like that.

That's hardly a plot hole. Its easily explained with the shifting, double crossing nature of these characters. They screw each other and then they befriend each other, they lie and or tell the truth as it suits them, they change their minds as the situation presents itself to their advantage or disadvantage. They're scammers.

He obviously planned to unload the fuel & vanish. Maybe he had a place to hide he figured he'd never be found. Look at Obi-Wan on Tattoine
