I think Smallvile got a lot of freedom because of the 'No Tight/Not Flights" rule and they used characters Warner Bros had no movie plans for.

I think we were lucky we got 'Smallville' 'cause we got to see a lot of superheroes and villains fans had been waiting ages to see in Live Action that sadly haven't appeared again like Zatanna and Doctor Fate who I am surprised were never used in the 'Arrowverse' and now they have movie plans for a lot of characters DC shows can't use many of the ones they used before. A lot of people who only saw the early seasons of 'Smallville' see the show as a Teen Drama and didn't release the second half completely changed and had heaps of other superheroes and villains come into it. While Clark might not have wore the costume until the final episode and didn't fly until then either the later seasons felt very much like a Superman show.

Lana and Chloe fans didn't like anybody. Ignorant bunch of Mary's and Steve's. Remember the hate Lois got? Yes. I do. They despised Lois and were always putting her down towards the end and saying Lois and Clark were like a brother and sister and it was like incest seeing them get together which was crazy when they wanted him to get together with Chloe who actually was the closest thing that Clark had to a sister in that show. The Chloe fans who were threatening to kill themselves when they wrote her off for a short time during Season 10 were the scariest. They thought Lois and Clark were like a brother and sister? Were they watching the same show as everybody elseO_o What a croak of bullshit. Did they really think or were they just saying it because Clark wasn't with who they wanted him to be with?

I think that's exactly why they said that. And they wonder why no one took them seriously.

I definitely did not want Chloe to end up with Clark or turn out to be Lois or any of that bullshit, but I honestly don't recall ever being enthralled by the screen chemistry between Clark and Lois. I didn't care Erica Durance for the most part when she was on Smallville, and only really warmed up to her when she was on Saving Hope. I can't remember specifically, but describing the dynamic as brother and sister-like may have been something I would have agreed with at the time, if not outright said myself....

They did. I am not sure why they felt that way 'cause a lot of people apart from myself also saw Clark and Chloe as being more like a brother and sister but the most annoying thing was they couldn't accept Clark was going to end up with Lois at the end even though every Superman fan knew Clark's main love interest was Lois.

I am speechless over that amount of asinine stupidity. So I'm going to let Superman speak for me.

I am speechless over that amount of asinine stupidity. So I'm going to let Superman speak for me. Some fans are insane these days and I think we have always had extreme and insane fans and you only need to look back at some of the Beatles fans years ago to see what they were like but the internet has given them a platform to showcase their insanity and anybody who gets in their way and disagrees with their opinions will be made to pay. If you want to hear about crazy fans there was one guy a few years back that was supposedly in love with an actress in 'Home and Away' and he was going around telling people he was her Fiance and she was in love with him and he turned his whole house into a shrine of her with pictures of her in every room and all her merchandise and when the actress went to get married to her real Fiance he kidnapped her and tried to kill him and he was a very disturbed individual.

Yikes! People like that are reminders that fan is short for fanatic. Some people just cannot separate fantasy from reality.

They become obsessed with fiction and believe it is a reality and we see that in the 'Arrow' fandom with extreme Olicity/ Stemily fans wanting Stephen to break up with his Wife and get together with Emily and making up rumours they are having an affair in real life using pictures of them playing around on set as evidence that their weird fantasy is true. With Stephen's Wife, Cassandra Jean appearing in the crossover episode as Nora Fries I am glad we aren't on the old 'Arrow' board now 'cause I imagine they would be livid about this. They will see Cassandra and know she is Stephen's real Wife and not Emily and that will be enough to make some heads explode.

Yeah, I am glad we don't have an Stemily fans here because they disgust me. But at the same time I love to see them fighting with other fans. If that's wrong then I don't want to be right.

It is amusing seeing them fight with other fans sometimes 'cause they are far from being sane and that often shows up in a lot of their posts and I see them fighting with Olicity fans the most 'cause Olicity fans say they give their fandom a bad name and make people think they are crazy and while I am not a huge fan of Olicity as you know I don't think every person who likes them is psychotic like the ones who cut out Cassandra Jean's head and replace it with pictures of Emily and there are insane people in every fandom and we should remember that. They just have bad taste and some good people have bad tastes like look at the Kardasian fans who love Kim, Kyle and Kendall (I think).

Nobody hates the fans more then other fans! Exactly. The wars between the hardcore DC and Marvel fans are a good example of that too and at the end of the day DC and Marvel aren't that different than each other and both specialise in making superhero stories and both DC and Marvel fans are superhero fans and if they could get along and stop fighting with each other so much everybody would be happier. They should all sit down and have cake together and settle their differences.

Heck, inside fandom fans turn on each other. Nobody accepts that we may love the same thing, but have differing opinions on everything. Just look at Star Wars, with original trilogy fans saying prequel fans or sequel fans aren't real fans.
I saw a guy on-line saying if you didn't see the films in a theater in 1977 you're not a real fan.

Some of 'Star Wars' fandom are absolutely crazy and are always fighting with each other over the original movies, the prequels and the latest movies and you and I must be some of the only fans left that like different things in all three trilogies and the other movies outside of them 'cause all I see is fighting over them and I think no matter what they do with 'Star Wars' movies and TV shows now there are going to be people that will be unhappy whether the movies are masterpieces or poorly written. It will be interesting to see the reaction to Episode 9.

I've been a fan of Star Wars since I first saw it in 1981. I had the toys, books, comics, and the underoos. I watched the special editions, prequels, and sequels in theaters and have loved each and everyone of them. One of my happiest moments was getting to meet Peter Mayhew at the Cincinnati Comic Expo. Yep. That's what I really look like. Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!

Yep. That's what I really look like. Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair! Oh him. Yes, I saw him when he was on Studio 10 a few years ago and they got him to appear on the show twice the first time 'cause they had audio problems and they couldn't hear a word he was saying when they spoke to him via satellite and the third time he was on the show he was here in Australia and sat with the hosts. He was friendly when they had him on there and I am glad you got to meet him and had a good time talking to him. Have you met any of the other actors from the movies like Mark, Carrie, Harrison or your avatar or the guy who played C3PO? Did you know the voice actor who plays Yoda (Frank Oz) is also famous for his work on Sesame Street and with the Muppets and I think he may have even created some of the Muppets. I can't say I remember when I saw 'Star Wars' for the first time but it was probably sometime in the mid to late 80s and you saw it the year I was born you old fart. (kidding) I can't remember many of the differences between the original trilogy and the special editions anymore 'cause I never watched the originals again after the special editions came out.

No, I haven't met anyone else from Star Wars. Might get a chance this year as I am planning on going back to that con.
I have been to one other comic con and saw Lou Ferrigno. I've been to two horror cons and have seen a lot of great talent. Like Doug Bradley and Brad Dourif.
I already got my ticket for next year. They're going to have Meatloaf, Doug Jones, and Neve Campbell.

I know Mark Hamill does and I mentioned him going to one in disguise as a Storm Trooper on another thread but Harrison Ford is the biggest actor from 'Star Wars' and has been in a lot of other popular movies as you know so I was curious if he went to the Comic Con events too or did he want a lot more money than the other actors? Ohh and has Natalie Portman, Ewan McGregor and Liam Neeson attended any of them? A lot of the actors that come here for the comic cons aren't really big name actors like we had Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher come out to Australia for one not long ago and we have stars from 'Buffy', 'Angel', 'Smallville', 'Supernatural', 'Battlestar Galactica', 'Arrow', 'The flash', 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow', 'Marvel's Agents of 'Shield' etc at some of them but none of them have been really big actors. Have you got to meet any of the actors from the 'Nightmare On Elm Street', 'Friday the 13th' and 'Halloween'movies?
