This is one of the most entertaining and exhilarating -- and yes, best -- Star Wars movies ever.
It's way better than the prequel trilogy.
And as much as I like The Force Awakens and (reluctantly less so) The Last Jedi, and mainly for the return of the original actors at that, this had more of the feel and spirit of the original Star Wars than either of those films.
I enjoyed it even more than Rogue One, as good as that is.
I haven't experienced this many rip-roaring goosebumps and chills in a Star Wars movie, let alone many movies, including the best Marvel movies, as I did with this movie -- TWICE.
A lot of great, thrilling, iconic moments -- Han meeting Chewie, Han and Chewie meeting Lando, Han and Chewie meeting the Millenium Falcon, every scene with the Falcon (especially the Kessel Run and how the Falcon gets that gap in the front), Han winning the Falcon from Lando, the return of the new but familiar Phantom Menace.
Even the moments that are original to this film (in terms of the Star Wars cinematic universe) are thrilling -- the escape from Corellia, the war scenes, the train heist, the Maruaders, the crime syndicates.
Also, all the actors and characters are excellent.
This is far superior to even the new Star Trek movies.
Very much looking forward to more Solo screen adventures.

It was the most fun. I thought Force Awakens was fun too but SOLO felt less like a retread.

Yes, even with all the references and calls to previous movies in the franchise.
Oh, and I forgot -- Han sitting in the Millennium Falcon's pilot's seat for the first time, and then Chewie sitting in the copilot's seat for the first time.
