Why do these people keep going back to Goyer? He hates comic book fans.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Matthew Vaughn being rumoured to be the director for man of steel 2

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Matthew Vaughn being rumoured to be the director for man of steel 2 no, there's a whole thread on it.......granted that kind of lasted like 1 page and the next three were something else.

if they're working on a script that must mean they have a general idea of direction, the question is do they have a director attached, but we don't know yet, or are they making a treatment to pass around to their potential directors. Gibson is a long shot, and while I want him to do SS2, he may have his eyes on different projects.
Now, I do like The Shallows, found it very fun, a tad superficial despite attempting more dramatic elements, which were sprinkled in frugally, yet as a whole it's rewatchable. but his other films...........less so, I cannot see myself watching his Neeson trilogy, they're fun, but feel hollow. and orphan is okay, but I think it suffers from that same emptiness. I'd stick to the list they had prior to his name.
Regarding Goyer...........fuck man......fine....let him come up with stories and treatments, since he's a good "story man" but full scripts and actually directing? He's made two stinkers, and with Blade3 he infamously antagonized Snipes and suffocated the franchise.

How has the WB now caught the memo that Goyer has no respect for comic books or their readers? He hates us.

It takes them awhile to learn things, as Kevin Smith eloquently explained before his audiences. I think the one producer who didn't even know Superman's birth name back in the 1990s is still a producer there.
