Lol now I'm vaguely remembering some discussion a while back with DC Fan and someone else about the MCU copping out by bringing characters back to life and someone asking him what will he say if Steve Trevor comes back.
Well here he is.

Well here he is. In all fairness, we still don’t really know the context of his return. Anyway, the dialogue in JL implied that he’s still dead.

So Steve Trevor is really Steve Rogers? WTF? In Justice League it is suggested that Trevor's dead, or at least that she believes him dead. So how can she meet him in 1984?
Remember how in the TV series they jumped forward in time to the present day and had the same actor play his son, I think it was? Maybe that's what they're doing here? As a kind of homage to that idea? Maybe?

It IS interesting that they didn't actually SHOW him die. They cut away and the we see the explosion. But if he parachuted out, survived, got frozen in carbonite and comes back in the 80s I'm gonna shit!
I'm still seeing the movie, there's no way around that, but I will shit.

Oh yeah. They have my money. But I have some more faith in the creative team than that. I don't think there is a GOOD way to bring him back...but there are ways that aren't just bad.

Lol now I'm vaguely remembering some discussion a while back with DC Fan and someone else about the MCU copping out by bringing characters back to life and someone asking him what will he say if Steve Trevor comes back. Well here he is. DC isn't going to have a lame "frozen in ice for 70 years" gimmick. And this isn't proof that DCEU is bringing Steve Trevor back to life. It was basically confirmed in Justice League that Steve Trevor was killed in WWI. Some people have speculated that it's a flashback scene or that Chris Pine is playing Steve Trevor's grandson (similar to how Lyle Waggoner played the original Steve Trevor in Season 1 of the TV series and then played Steve Trevor's son in Seasons 2 and 3 of the TV series). But there's another possibility - it's a dream sequence. Geoff Johns co-wrote the story for Wonder Woman II so he's very familiar with the episode of Justice League Unlimited titled "For the Man Who Has Everything". Season 1 of the Supergirl TV series had a similar episode titled "For the Girl Who Has Everything". This could be similar, with a villain putting Diana in a dream sequence and showing her living her life with Steve Trevor by her side.

It's definitely not a flashback because the others are wearing 80's clothing.
Him playing Steve Trevor's grandson and looking identical would just be laughable.
He could actually just be brought back to life but then die again some time between 1984 and 2017 to make what was said in Justice League true.
Either way they have still brought him back in some capacity.

Something does look different there. I don't know if it's because the suit is more colourful or maybe she's thinner?

Remember that Wonder Woman had a grayed look to it for all the movie until the end (and that was at night) and on Themyscira (where she didn't wear the costume). And Justice League's coloring is Justice League.
