I've been digging the electronic music scores of late. The likes of Tangerine dream on 'Thief', 'Near Dark', 'Sorcerer' and 'Risky Business'.
Jimmy Page's stinging guitar riffs streamlining the score of 'Death Wish 2' is one that sticks in mind.
Goblin in 'Tenebre'.
I could go on and on, but I'll end with my absolute favourite, which l would be the music composed by Joe Strummer for Alex Cox's 'Walker' (1987).

When seeing The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (with Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer and Alicia Vikander), the score for that movie left quite the impression on me. I thought the music by Daniel Pemberton (plus the choice of songs used) added so much to the film, so I ordered the soundtrack online. My absolute favourite track is 'Circular Story'.

A highly underrated movie score is the soundtrack to "Return to Oz" (1985). It's also an underrated movie. I actually like it better than the classic "Wizard of Oz" movie. I could do without the talking chicken.

I could do without the talking chicken. She was in the books, but yeah, I never really cared for her either. The Woggle Bug was way worse though.

Pirates of the Caribbean Dark Knight Sherlock Holmes
I know, I like Hans Zimmer a lot.
Another favourite of mine is Requiem of a Dream by Clint Mansell. Halloween's main time is great as well. Schindler's List is great as well.
The soundtrack for Van Helsing is also a lot better than the movie.

Jimmy Page's stinging guitar riffs streamlining the score of 'Death Wish 2' is one that sticks in mind. His work on Death Wish 3 was also pretty good, those crazy synth along with the "Wrrraaooooohrr" lion/roar sound whenever Kersey dramatically stuck his head out of a vehicle. Vangelis work on Blade Runner is among those scores that I never go tired of and one of very few that are capable of "taking" me to another place or time, and my favorite soundtrack version are the one known as Esper Edition. I was so disappointed of how it turned out, when it were announced back in winter/spring of 2007 that along with the 25th anniversary edition Blu-ray/DVD of the Final Cut, the fans would get a 3 CD edition containting the "complete" soundtrack by Vangelis. Of course it was very far from the complete edition, and I guess the closest thing to perfection for me, will always be through the majestetic sounds of the Esper Edition, even though it is a fanmade one.

Yeah, his contribution to the third film is just as memorable. They sure do compliment both films. I was surprised to see, they were his only two composing jobs for films. I wonder if he did it out of favour for Winner.

Most anything by Ennio Morricone, but my all-time favorite of his is the score from Duck, You Sucker! Absolutely beautiful, haunting music.
