1.Captain America: Civil War (a good chunk higher than the rest) . . 2. Deadpool (both very decent movies) 3. Dr. Strange . . . . . (and here we're just scraping the barrel) 4. BvS 5. X-men: Apocalypse 6. Suicide Squad This is almost exactly my opinion although I'd put the extended edition of BvS in last place.

He'll either mention something that went on in one book or post a comic scan of said scene, and the irony of it all would be that that comic would be one out of hundreds in their whole publication histories respectfully.

Humour is a massive part of human psychology and it's very important for coping and survival. This is why the Avengers movies are realistic and Nolan's Batman movies aren't.

Oh please, stop making stuff up. Spidey quips all the time, even when he's only talking to himself.

If you don't think humor is part of Spider-Man's personality then you are not a real fan of the character, same deal in regards to the other aforementioned characters.

If you don't think humor is part of Spider-Man's personality then you are not a real fan of the character, same deal in regards to the other aforementioned characters. I could say you are not a Marvel fan since you defend 90 percent of the movies. You support the heroes trying to be comedians and villians being beat by dancing To say humor is not part of Spider-Man's personality is a strange claim for a fan of the source material to make seeing as almost every time he's out stopping crime be it a bank robbery or trying to prevent a mad scientist from destroying half of the city he's insulting his enemies or joking to himself. I'm going to assume you've probably read a just a handful of Spider-Man stories and in those stories he isn't really making any jokes and the situations are very tense, sorry to give you cold hard truth but those stories and the quantity of them you have read or hold in possession do not encompass the entire publication history of the character and what he is about and why everybody finds him to be so appealing. Humor is used by writers and artists to both give the characters more personality and to be more accessible for readers. Most people approach a story like a roller coaster, think of the action and the drama as the cart going to the top and coming down, before things get too intense humor is applied which eases things out for the reader or viewer. Going down the roller coaster is intense and scary, but when you reach the bottom and move forward you feel its fun and are enjoying the experience to its maximum limit. For the characters, it makes them more three dimensional, as lots of people even when faced with the most intense of situations are sometimes able to find the humor in it or apply humor to settle things down for themselves and friends or family. Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, Don Heck and Jack Kirby did this brilliantly in the early 60's and created a strong cast of characters that made up a whole universe and which beat DC in profit because of how accessible and fresh their heroes were. Despite dealing with the fantastic and the melodramatic storytelling devices, readers were hooked into the characters because they were more relatable than DC's roster, and when DC took notice they aimed to do better with their own books. The MCU is pretty much the best thing going for Marvel today honestly. Their animated programming is nothing to write home about, their games are hit and miss, and their comics are just a bunch of badly written, badly drawn garbage aimed at social justice warrior types - Most contemporary writers and artists at Marvel these days think pushing one sided political views and shock value is what makes for effective storytelling and they don't care who they offend or how badly drawn their books are. Despite not always knocking it out of the ballpark the MCU have been able to appeal to a wide variety of people from professional critics, general movie goers, and long time fans of the comics respectively. For all their faults, at least they have a much better grasp at how to honor the legacy of the characters they are adapting and the artists they're paying tribute to much more than the comics are doing nowadays. Not to be "that guy" but based on your writings I take it you like the current wave of Marvel books over the older ones by Stan and Jack.
