I wouldn't know if Rockabilly is obsolete, just not in. Brian Setzer Orchestra was probably the best known. He's still coming out with albums.

Film music.
Those glorious days of John Barry, Jerry Goldsmith, and John Williams have been replaced with horrendous music that you hear used in video games. Either that or film soundtracks are just a collection of songs made by the latest lame emo band. Film scoring is a genre that has disappeared. I miss it.
