That's good. I don't want any Marvel movies made like The Mummy or Dracula Untold. Sounds like someone's ashamed of mummies.

The bidding could still go up... Some say up to $80 billion. With Fox immediately accepting Disney's latest bid, that says that they prefer to do business with Disney. That said, their board could still force them to do business with the highest bidder.

More than likely but, I'm not calling it until the mini-mouse sings. Comcast is desperate. Nothing less than their survival is at stake.

If it gets desperate, Disney has a much better reputation with lenders and banks compared to Comcast.

I don't really have any affliction to either company but it sure must be good being a Fox shareholder right now whilst other companies are literally hurling money in your face lol.

I don't know too much about this deal other than the YouTube videos I subscribe to but it will be a shame for subsidiaries like Fox searchlight, which produce high quality traditional cinema, to be comprised (if I am understanding it correctly) if Disney complete their merger. Of course this also means potential loss of jobs.

Lucas ruined Star Wars himself with the Prequels.

Of course this also means potential loss of jobs. The combination of business is expected to yield $2 billion in "cost synergies". That is corporate speak for, we will close down divisions and cut jobs to save money. There is a prevailing idea that this deal is solely about growth for Disney. While that is true, I'd imagine that it is also about diversification. The parts of Fox that differ significantly from Disney's existing model, like Searchlight, may be retained to help Disney become more competitive in the "awards" arena.

Wait- Tom Cruise was the Mummy? No one was supposed to know that! That's why he was hiding under the wrappings! This is doxxing at its worst! Innit?
