I guess it all depends on if fleeing the scene constitutes a death sentence. And it would also depend on "complete" and "full" details, before any judgement is made. Why did he run, what made him run, what was it that provoked the cop to shoot him? It is not just a black and white, cop shot a kid in the back scenario at this stage. Do you have an article with more comprehensive details? I don't know what the rules are where you live, but in Virginia it is legal to take a life in defense of your own life, and it is legal to take a life in defense of another human life. That however means only if the crime is about to take place immediately. You can't shoot anyone in the back unless he is immediately about to kill another human being he is in a position to kill. If you think he will kill another human being a week from now you can't take his life unless he actually attempts it and you are there when he does. The rules for incarcerated convicts are probably different.

Cop opened fire. There’s a million articles at this point with all the details and even a video if you wanna go look.

There’s a million articles at this point with all the details and even a video if you wanna go look. Then the badass cop is in some very deep hot water then, if that is the 'factual' case. I don't ever take news articles at face value. Why would you draw that conclusion? If recent history is any evidence, he’s much more likely to get off scot free, (assuming he’s actually ever charged with a crime in the first place).
