Oh wow. That he was a professional football player? I have seen people let themselves go and end up out of shape but it is hard to believe he was running around on a field in one point in his career. Was he a famous football player? Well he retired 15 years ago, he's 50 now so there is that but he wasn't a major star, he played for Liverpool for 5 years, spent the majority of his 17 year career in the 1st division/premier league but he was never the star player more an able body who filled the ranks, he was with Liverpool when the won the League Cup in 95, they paid £2.5 million for him back in 1993 so he was worth a pretty penny at one point, he even got capped for England once, but only once sadly. Okay. Thanks for letting me know about that. Just curious. I don't know that much about football in England but I often get confused over the names 'cause what you call football in England we call Soccer here and we also call your football a soccer ball to differentiate it from our footballs. Beccy and I played football when we were kids but I was never really a fan of watching and I am that way with a few sports I like to play and I love tennis and enjoy golf too but don't watch them.

I am the same way used to love playing sports but never got into watching them much, only times I do is if Liverpool make it to the finals of a tournament or England get out the group stage at the World or Euros, used to watch Rugby a little but that was mostly due to watching it in the pub with mates getting pissed less so about the game.
I didn't even know here was such a thing as Aussie Football, I thought you guys played Rugby or is that New Zealand?

Of course Australia has to be difficult and create their own football! Regular football just isn't good enough for them!

Everybody knows real football originated in the States when God descended from Heaven to give us a ball and a six-pack.

Funny enough, I should have mentioned I love surfing and am a big fan of the WSL as I think I may have told you in the past but I am absolutely horrible at surfing and I have tried to get better at it over the years but I think I just get worse so I have given up my dream of becoming a famous surfer - not that it was ever going to happen anyway. Beccy is a lot better at surfing than me and I usually watch her surf when we go to the beach now but I was really good at ice skating when I was younger and still am now and I was also good on a skateboard but it has been a long time since I have been on a skateboard. I still play a number of sports now especially with my nieces and have I told you I am undefeated at bowling? Is it true Chess is classed as an actual sport in the UK and it is aired on TV? No. We have different types of football here and the three most popular are AFL, NRL and Rugby Union.

Fuck knows about Chess but if Darts is a sport why not Chess?
Personally I am a iffy bowler, it's either strikes or nothing for me, sometimes I get strikes in other peoples lanes, true story I bowled the ball but how I throw is odd , it doesn't roll I literally lob it with enough force that it just glides down the lane without rotating, this sometimes makes it bounce and on a few occasions I have jumped lanes doing so, much to the delight of the other people who get a free strike.
I was a decent Rugby player I just had no interest in it so I didn't learn how to play but I could bowl over people and was offered a spot on the school team 4 years in a row but refused because fuck giving up my Saturdays or staying after school for that shit, plus I accidentally broke a mates collarbone without meaning to during a game in PE when we were just fucking about, and I didn't like the idea of possibly hurting others if I ever actually gave a shit to give more than 20% in a game.

I don't know. I have always seen Chess as more of a board game than a sport and generally class sports as being more physical but if they are going to count Darts as a sport they might as well. I am quite good at playing Chess too with people and I have a Chess game on my laptop and I have won over 300 games on the highest level of difficulty and the computer opponent can't even take any of my pieces 'cause every time they try I press the undo button and make another move. Bowling on the other hand I have been playing for a lot of years and have experience with and I surprise myself with how good I am at that 'cause I was hopeless when I first started bowling but I kept doing it until I got better and then I got really good and I taught both my nieces and nephew how to bowl and they are good at it now too. I am also good at playing tennis, ping pong, volleyball, basketball and netball and I used to love skipping when I was younger and could do a lot of things with skipping ropes but I don't skip as much as I used to.
Football is a dangerous sport and I have friends who have gotten seriously injured playing football and basketball is too and Beccy used to play basketball when we were in Primary School and it was mostly guys who were playing it and she was better than a lot of them so they always wanted her to play with them.

Well I don't think we class Chess as a sport but Americans do I think, and imo if you somehow argue Darts, Formula 1, Nascar, Horse Racing, Sailing, most winter Olympic sports, Archery, and any other amount of Olympic "sports" count then I dunno why not chess?
I would include Surfing in this until I thought I dunno just how much a factor one surf board over another can play so, it may come down to more the person but even then is it a sport? or is it a competition? what is a sport exactly?
Only reason to discount Darts as a sport compared to the others is if you say it cannot be a sport if you can compete professionally as you also competitively drink, but then does that discount snooker? and what about Cricket? Cricket is an athetotic competition but does the ability to be shitfaced whilst playing mean it's not a sport? what about bowling is that a sport?
JUST WHAT ARE THE RULES?...What Are They?...what...
And yeah well now you know how I feel when it comes to you Aussies, I still find it hilarious you have to force people to vote, then appease them with sausages, we just go and do it, not all of us but a lot, and we don't need bbq'd meat to placate us afterwards...fuck I just thought Deb's a veggie right? she must be pissed on election day she doesn't even get a sausage...nope not making that joke, atleast not this time
