Just look at what happened to Jesus of Nazareth in the span of five days. On Sunday the crowd was joyfully cheering him as their messiah and laying palm fronds before him. But by Friday their joy had turned to righteous anger and they calling for him to be crucified. History keeps repeating itself because people refuse to learn it's lessons. Yes. You are very right about that and with some celebrities especially singers they are the flavour of the week, month or year and after that a lot of people praise them up then and later throw them under the bus and criticise them all the time. I don't know if you have heard of Lee Ann Womack but she had a song out called 'Something Worth Leaving Behind' that had a line about having to die to be famous and it is true with some celebrities and we also sadly have a lot of fake people in the world who will love somebody one day when they are on top but won't be there for them when they are down 'cause they are only hanging around them for what they think they can do for them and it is really all about them, them, them. People like that are the worst and I am happy to say we don't have anybody like that in our lives and we know how much we mean to our friends.

Yeah, it must be hard being famous. Because you are constantly dealing with fake people and a lot of negativity. It has to be very draining and you can see why so many famous people burn out so quickly. I am lucky to have good friends in my life.

Being famous is not what it is cracked up to be and that might sound cliche now 'cause a lot of celebrities have gone on to say it but looking at their stories and actually knowing some people who were in bands that were fairly big here at one point it is not and they not only have to deal with a lot of fake people like that but people only hang around them for the money and will dump them for the next big sensation if they money dries up and they are no longer popular. They have to be very careful who they trust too 'cause there are a lot of people looking to screw them over.

You're too talented hun and your voice should be heard by everybody and not just me. There's gotta be a way you can do it without having to tour.

We have something special a lot of other people don't have and I have a good job that I enjoy and I haven't given up writing songs as you know and might try to sell them to some artists or bands but I would rather not be famous.

Yeah, the internet is a great way to get yourself heard without having to leave home. That's true. Did you know Justin Beiber was discovered on You Tube? I am personally not a fan of his music but there is no denying how successful he has been as a singer and there have been some other singers who have been discovered on You Tube and Myspace that have gone on to become really popular now and I had a number of Country Music artists talk to me on Myspace before they got record deals and Luke Bryan was one of them.

Yeah, social media has a lot of people to reach an audience they might not have under conventional methods. And damn, you are just all kinds of awesome.

Yeah, I honestly don't think fame is as great as a lot of people assume it must be. I mean, I can't speak from any personal experience, but seeing how famous people get treated in their private lives, no thank you. Rich, sure, I'd love to be rich, but I could do without being famous; at least while I'm alive. Let people discover a treasure trove of my unpublished written works or something; and take on an enduring posthumous popularity. In typical fashion though, humanity takes an idea and pushes to the worst extreme. People grace the world with their talent, sharing it with the world - and often not just out of the goodness of their heart, but in exchange for a healthy paycheck - and somehow when enough people mutually agree they like it, it somehow becomes justifiable to feel entitled to everything about that person, whether they want to share it or not. They offer us a little and we demand everything; and we wonder why so many of them lose their damn minds.

No. I don't think being famous would really be as wonderful or fabulous as some people seem to think it would be and looking at all the celebrities I have heard about suffering from depression, getting addicted to illegal drugs which wrecks their health and doing crazy things to get attention and stay in the spotlight it does not look like some of them are that happy. I mean it might be fun to live as a celebrity for one day just to see what it feels like compared to having a normal life but I could see myself getting tired of it 'cause you would have people following you around with cameras all the time wanting to take pictures of you and talk to you and you couldn't just walk up the street like a normal person and do the things you normally do anymore. The media are really bad with some celebrities and won't leave them alone no matter what they do or say and the worst thing is some of them go after their children and that is really low.
I like your idea about letting people discover a treasure trove of my unpublished written works after you are gone and there have been some famous writers in history who didn't become famous until after their deaths.

I like your idea about letting people discover a treasure trove of my unpublished written works after you are gone and there have been some famous writers in history who didn't become famous until after their deaths. The thing that bugs me about celebrity is the literal feeling entitlement by the general public. The idea of virtually anyone being a "public figure" which somehow voids their right to privacy is absurd. It blows my mind that I've even gotten into debates with people over the idea that somehow the public deserves anything more from a famous person than what they're paid to do - whether that's to sing or act or play sports. There have been people who have been adamant that, just because these people have a noteworthy talent and get paid a premium for that, that they just become fair game and somehow don't deserve the same rights to privacy as any other private citizen. It just baffles me. The prime example of this being the paparazzi and the idea that somehow celebrities can have their pictures taken or video recorded without their consent; especially when, for anyone else you'd probably have to get a release. Like, we hold these people in such esteem and celebrate them, while simultaneously strip them of their humanity; and there are people who genuinely see nothing wrong with that. The exception would maybe be anyone working in high levels of public office, but only to the extent of transparency. And then it gets into a gray area with their families.
