eh it's comic book science there are worse things out there. Wolverine alone has massive wtf moments. They could've had them pull out a little device that they carry to patch wounds. In the end is there any difference?

Give these writers an academy award. I think it was more to it than just raw vibranium.

Give these writers an academy award. well like James Cameron already said about GOTG its irresponsible sci fi, most mcu movies are just badly written apparently vibranium is the answer to everything but the film never explains how it works just like how nothing gotg is explained is just FUN.

It reminded me of how some health item in video games got a bit ridiculous. Like how in Far Cry Primal they wrapped a leaf around meat and it healed you completely even if you were shot by multiple arrows and mauled by a sabertooth tiger.

Give these writers an academy award. Why not? If the metal's mutagenic properties can endow super-speed and strength, why couldn't it stabilize or completely heal injuries?

This isn't for or against Cameron, but I have a question. I'm not 100% sure about something in Terminator Time Dilation. The movie states Skynet sends back Infiltrator Models because of the skin. If they sent back just metal the process frags them. So the thing that is saving skynets bacon is the flesh. Now the t-1000 is saved because even though he is a liquid metal polyalloy it works as a flesh so dodged the bullet. Kyle also says no future weapons the metal will fry in the time dilation. So here's my question. Why didn't skynet wrap flesh around weapons. Have it make a freak of nature bag of living flesh that would wrap around the future weapons. This has always bothered me. Is there an answer?

Is there an answer? It can be argued that the T-800 itself was the weapon "wrapped in flesh." If not for the presence of Kyle Reese, the T-800 would have surely killed Sarah Connor but, Skynet was defeated before Kyle was sent back and could not have planned for that contingency. Also, Kyle says that only living organisms can travel through time. A cyborg technically is a living organism. Merely covering objects in tissue may not satisfy all of the requirements of a living organism. At the very least a terminator has a blood, muscle tissue and skin tissue. It is also possible that a Terminator could be able to simulate the bioelectric field that allows a living organism to travel through time.

I was either thinking of some lab monstrosity that's technically alive but instead of having the terminator skeleton under it's flesh it was just a skeleton of future guns. Or hell take a large animal and just stuff the weapons into it's body. Something akin to the cow that has the port in it's side so you can see it's guts work. Instead of leaving the hole open just cauterize the wound right before pushing Betsy the cow into the field. Just thought of a reason why. A failure of imagination. Maybe it couldn't think around that corner. The T-800 Infiltration models weren't built to send back in time. It was a response to a direct problem. Humans could spot the ones covered in rubber. So Skynet wrapped it in flesh. Once Skynet was on it's heels and seeing it was going to lose. It took it's first illogical/imaginary leap. Send something back in time to stop John. It saw the problem with metal vs time dilation. It had the Infiltrator so it solved that problem straight away. Maybe it just couldn't make another one of those leaps.

When he cuts his forearm/hand off in T-2, he just pulled skin off.

So basically James Cameron’s opinions are the only opinions that matter. He doesn't care about James Cameron's opinions. He cares about when they say something against the MCU. If Cameron got a job directing an MCU movie then started praising the MCU, do you think he would be using Cameron as a go to for MCU hate?

It saw the problem with metal vs time dilation. It had the Infiltrator so it solved that problem straight away. Maybe it just couldn't make another one of those leaps. A question I've always had about Skynet, as an AI, is that once it had mastered cybernetics, it must have understood that there was potential for a union of the two species -- humans and machine -- that would be mutually beneficial to both. Its war against humans seems relatively simplistic for what is supposedly a sophisticated AI. In any event, an infiltrator would attract less attention in the past than a non humanoid monstrosity. The former would be less likely to alert the general populace of something being wrong which could jeopardize Skynet's existence. Any way you look at the Terminator mythos, information that seemingly comes from nowhere is introduced into a time loop. Making something from absolutely nothing is commonly referred to as a miracle. At some point in the future an AI is created which attempts to destroy humanity, in the process of doing so, it somehow learns that to guarantee its creation, it must send key technology back in time... So who invented Skynet? Us or Skynet? And was Skynet's goal really to kill Sarah Connor or was it to ensure its creation or both?

LOL
