Aired in late 1985, lasting only 1 season and 13 episodes. The series is known for legendary actor Vincent Price starring as Vincent VanGhoul. I recently watched the entire series and was pretty impressed. I enjoyed seeing the gang chase after actual ghosts, it was a nice change of pace from the standard Scooby-Doo format.

The series kind of felt sloppy, being objective Price was the main draw. That said, it had a different feel from other Scooby shows that I enjoyed.
I've always been disappointed it never got a proper ending.

This was good for only two reasons: Vincent Van Ghoul and the fact that Daphne finally discarded that ugly dress and scarf for more comfortable coveralls--even though they, too, were purple (really, NOT her color. Is it anybody's?).
Otherwise, it stunk. Scrappy and Flim Flam were utterly useless, and the two "comedy relief" ghosts were not funny at all. I wonder if all the 13 ghosts were ever put back in the trunk; the show never said.

Something about that just never appealed to me and I never watched it. I like the originals

I loved Scrappy as a kid. Now I can't stand him. I wonder why...

Same here. Scrappy was meant to appeal purely to kids.
There are a lot of cartoon mascot/sidekicks I no longer care for: Scrappy, Orko, Snarf, Slimer, and others I'm sure I've repressed.

I love Scooby and the gang in anything. I own Scooby Doo Where Are You? I also own most of the movies, new and old. I wish they would release the old Scooby movie with The Addams Family. This is on my list to buy along with A Pup Named Scooby Doo.

I watched all of the 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo Episodes about two months ago. I got the complete series DVD when it came out in June 2010. I watched the first two Episodes in July last year. When I watched the first two Episodes last year, I thought the show was kind of silly. I decided to give the show another chance this year. I watched the first two Episodes again in May and watched all of the Episodes in a week in late May. The show was kind of cute. It is definitely not the best Scooby Doo show. My favorite Scooby Doo shows are the original show Scooby Doo Where Are You and What's New Scooby Doo. I agree that Scrappy can be kind of annoying at times. He was in way too many Scooby Doo shows in the 1980s. It would have been better if he only appeared in Scooby Doo Episodes every so often like Scooby Dumb did. I must admit Scrappy and Flim Flam were kind of funny in this show. I like how Scrappy's personality is toned down in this show. In the earlier shows he was in, he was too aggressive and was always shouting puppy power. He only says puppy power a few times in this show instead of in every Episode like he did in the earlier shows he was in. I liked how Scooby Doo and Flim Flam greeted each other. Scooby Doo would say, "Rellow, Rlim Rlam." Flim Flam would say, "Rellow Rooby." I thought the comic relief ghosts and Vincent Van Ghoul were also funny. Vincent Price did a good job on this show.
I also am glad that Daphne wore something besides that purple dress on this show. I like her purple dress ok, but it is nice to see her wearing something else. I thought she looked good in purple, but I think she should have worn other colors too. I also agree that it was nice that the ghosts on this show were real instead of a bad guy in a mask. I like the format where the ghosts were always bad guys in a mask, but it is nice for a change that the ghosts were real on this show. They also used the ghosts are real format in some of the early direct to video Scooby Doo movies such as in Scooby Doo On Zombie Island and Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost. Too bad Fred and Velma weren't in this show. At least Daphne is in this show. Fred and Velma and Daphne weren't in very many of the Scooby Doo shows in the 1980s for some reason. At least Daphne was in some of the Scooby doo shows from the 1980s. I personally thought Scooby Doo was boring in the 1980s Scooby Doo shows where only Scooby Doo, Shaggy, and Scrappy appeared. I also wondered if they got all 13 ghosts back in the trunk too. I wish that the show said that they did.

I wasn't a big fan of this one. I prefer when the whole original gang is together. I despise Scrappy and always have. I don't like it at all when the ghosts are real. I love the original series and most of the recent animated movies. Vincent Price is great of course and at least they brought Daphne back for this one.

Am I the only one who actually likes Scrappy? I agree that he was too hyper in his early apperances, but they really tone him down and make him more helpful in later apperances.
