Most of the cast of Me and Orson Welles (2008). Christian McKay's Welles is bearable (just), but the rest of the cast impersonating The Mercury Players range from apparently clueless as to anything about the people they were portraying (James Tupper's Joseph Cotten) to downright caricature (Leo Bill's Norman Lloyd).

Jean Peters as Catana, a Spanish peasant girl in Captain From Castile. And her love interest, Tyrone Power (in the title role) wasn't much better. Dancing together, they generated about as much heat as a couple of the marionettes from Pinocchio (only the marionettes weren't nearly as wooden). The main problem with Tyrone Power, imo (apart from his being about twice the age of his character, Pedro de Vargas), is that he was of Irish descent, but looked like most people's idea of a Spaniard. In the original novel, Pedro had red hair and green eyes--in other words, he was a Spaniard who looked like most people's idea of an Irishman!

My memory of Vince Vaughan in Psycho was that he was OK at worst. He did try at least, which is good, but the casting alone was just appalling. Not the worst casting, but he was certainly miscast

Forgive if this has been recently discussed. I would be curious to see if anyone could come up with a casting choice worse than this one: This man . . . . Portraying this man! What the hell was Scorsese thinking? True, Hoover deserved something better. No he didn't deserve better. We deserved the truth

One of (if not the) best with Tyrone

Vaughn in Psycho. The problem there is, they didnt want an Anthony Perkins type as Norman-they wanted a John Gavin to be the Norman. If you use a guy who is physically strong enough to be threatening, it defeats the purpose. The gist of Norman bates was that he seemed nonthreatening. This^^^
