Meaning the deceased actor and not the alive director. The Great Escape has remained in my 10 favorite movies for a while now. I'd say Papillon is his best performance. Bullitt isn't very memorable beyond the car chase scene but damn if he isn't impossibly cool. The Getaway is a decent one. Still haven't seen The Sand Pebbles, though.

The Great Escape and the Towering Inferno.
I havent seen many of his films to be honest.
The Blob, Bullitt, Papillon, and one mid 60s war film where I believe he throws himself on a grenade.

junior bonner (1972) - masterfully understated performance from McQueen is in this first rate rodeo circuit road movie. Possibly Sam Peckinpah's most overlooked film - if not McQueen's.

love with the proper stranger (1963)
6 the getaway the magnificent seven the great escape the thomas crown affair the sand pebbles hell is for heroes
5 le mans the towering inferno baby the rain must fall the reivers nevada smith

The Sand Pebbles is easily his best film and not that it was a flop, but it seems like one of the most overlooked 1960s epics. Like no one talks about it.

The Great Escape is horrible because I always want them to get away with it.
I thought I liked Bullitt but couldn't finish it last time I watched it.
The Getaway wasn't very good.

Almost every single person I know has stopped watching movies. Actually, everyone, even previous film buffs, students, etc... And 3 hours long would put scare any phone lovin' addict away.

Papillon and The Magnificent Seven. The Reivers is pleasant, too.
Truth be told, there are a number of his major movies I haven't seen - I really need to catch up with Junior Bonner, for one.

Do what they all almost certainly did during Batman versus Superman. Text each other "OMG this movie has an hour left?!?!"

On the highway, funeral, doesn't matter.. And constantly! And they're the ones who say "I never have time!"
