There is now even more embarrassing news for "Solo". " Ant-Man and the Wasp", the third and lowest grossing Marvel film this year, has now passed " Solo" domestically. Not only that, "Ant-Man and the Wasp" has more than doubled the "Solo" foreign box office take. All told, the smallest Marvel film of 2018 (pun intended) has outgrossed "Solo" by more than $200 million. Source: Box Office Mojo Total Lifetime Grosses: Ant-Man and the Wasp Total Lifetime Grosses: Solo Domestic: $213,769,458 35.9% Domestic: $213,706,230 54.4% + Foreign: $381,400,000 64.1% + Foreign: $179,030,840 45.6% = Worldwide: $595,169,458 = Worldwide: $392,737,070

Ant-Man 2 1.4B drop from AIW SOLO 900m drop from TLJ The only positive stat i could find The important thing is how each movie compared to its respective budget. Per Variety: So "Ant-Man and the Wasp" is a modest success, while "Solo" is a huge flop.

And yet the people involved still made more money than you ever will. "Solo" reportedly lost $50 to $80 million, however according to my calculations: Production Budget 250,000,000 Marketing Budget 150,000,000 ----------- Theatrical Expenses 400,000,000 Disney Revenue (60%) 235,642,242 Theatrical Profit (164,357,758) But that doesn't include merchandising or other ancillary revenue. That must be where they are making all their money!

They'd better hope DVD sales are high because I doubt they're going to recoup any of their losses in merchandising.
