I remember with Arkham City that game had a particular open world and then in Arkham Origins they brought that back over, retweeked it some and then added another area about the same size.
So I wouldn't if Spider-man 2 brought New York back and updated it a bit and then added Bronx or Queens to expand on it.

Brooklyn and Queens are great suggestions for a sequel. I also wouldn't mind if they took him somewhere else, be it another state or country. Hell put Spider-Man in Pittsburgh! Does he not live in Queens in the game? Chinatown.

Okay... Found the 1st thing to frustrate me. The drone challenge in Greenwich. Goes under too many overpasses and through buildings. You're web-zipping off everything.

Does he not live in Queens in the game? In the game he lives in Manhattan, unless it's stated elsewhere. The game map is based in Manhattan, buy there's closed off areas, so future dlc could possibly add new areas. Manhattan or queens is spiderman's place. stan lee made it so because he wanted to ground the character as much as possible as a contrast to batman and superman that lived in fantasy places like Gotham and Smallville.
ah, the days of great world building marvel are gone, I am glad this game at least is a reminder of that and what spiderman is when he is just alone with his supporting cast as meant to be. this game reminds me too much of spiderman tas and it's a good thing,

This isn't a comic, it's a video game. I say move him around to another location or setting, otherwise it'll be the same Spider-Man video game we've been getting for the past 15 years. Change is good.

change is good when you change for the better. take spiderman homecoming, all the changes made the movie inferior to the sam raimi movies.
also, new york is big and most important, spiderman does leave new york , new york is just the place of residence.

If you keep us locked in Manhattan it starts to get old fast. Open the box, let us explore outside of the comfort zone. If you want it like the comics, read the comics. I rather see him go in another direction.

The anti-grav one to lift brutes. Think I only need 1 or 2 more.

Wait... So keep him in New York or don't keep him in New York. You just said both things there.
I used the Assassin's Creed games as an example for a reason. There are some of them that has you take a boat to another map. You could give Spider-man 1 or 2 other major cities to go to around the world and "fast travel" by airplane or show him laying on top of a train or bus.
The next DLC is gonna have Black Cat join the game. Spider-man is never alone. He starred in Marvel Team-up comics for years. The only reason he seems alone is that he joins a team then says he has the responsibility to take of something himself. But then he teams up with another character.

Hmm, thought of another way you can change the game, but keep it in New York. Gotta put this under spoilers, but, come on, if you got even half through the story... Make it like Assassin's Creed Syndicate in that you can switch between Miles and Peter. They each get a skill tree and have different gameplay styles.

I remember xmen legends, there was a new character who was the main character. her name was magma/aliyson crestmere . she was a stand in for the player, it did add more mythology and world building to the xmen universe and expanded the mutant of magma, if you go on marvel wiki, you will see many alternate versions of the character and magma from the game was one.
this is what I was talking from the onset. glad spidey did the same thing for ps4. this is why batman also has a strong world along with spiderman and xmen they can more their carry their own world without dc and marvel as back drops.
this is how you create art, not just a bizzare formula with unnecessary crossovers and stupid team ups that makes no sense.
Hope the producers of spiderman 2 contunue to make the game very reclusive and just about the world of spidey as he explores his world. there should ne new characters who are just spiderman characters only.

Well the next Spider-Man movie has him going to Europe I believe so that'll be the first Spider-man movie where he isn't in New York the whole time.
We might see him swinging around London. That could work for a game....maybe.
Or in Tokyo, I think he did stay in Tokyo once.
