I remember seeing this when it came out. I’m watching it now on Netflix; don’t ask why, because I just don’t know. The only thing I can think of is that I was reading Indiana Jones and the Hollow Earth, on which I commented here. So, anyway, I’ve always liked Brendan Fraser, and here he comes off as a mix between Harrison Ford and Kelsey Grammer, an extraordinarily weird combination. I remember not liking this movie in 2008, but I’m liking it so far now (only about 10 min. in!). And I’d cast Brendan Fraser in just about everything.

I remember it as a fun family adventure flick. Didn't really bother with the sequel.

I haven't seen in a long time, but I remember thinking that it was pretty fun. Not a serious action flick, but what I'd call an adventure movie.
And despite what James Cameron says, this was the movie that brought 3-D back – and frankly used it better.

I enjoyed it. The sequel, not so much.

Certainly not a "masterpiece" by EVERYONE's Standards... and with Brendan Fraser being cast as the lead in the film... no one should have ever expected it to be...
It was good for what it was... A fun adventure film, that one can spend a couple of random hours with, while enjoying a nice tub of popcorn, and some candy.
7/10
It's been a while since I've seen it... I think I'll watch it again!
