A woman has been brought in for questioning and is in an interrogation room. Detectives are watching her from behind a mirror. She walks to the mirror, applies lipstick, and kisses the mirror. This was from a tv series, something like on of the Law and Orders or NCIS. Dies it sound familiar?

As BATouttaheck noted, it seems very familiar to me as well, jinx, but I can’t place it either. Do you have any more details?

It sounds familiar to me, too! Did Columbo ever observe interrogations through a mirror?

It sounds almost like that trashy Law and Order: SVU ep that starred Rose McGowan as a con woman who worked out of a sex club, but I don't recall a scene precisely like that in it.

jinx this is the episode suggested by amyghost …. does it sound like your episode ? SVU : Bombshell (link)After the CEO of a weapons company is stabbed in the groin in a parking garage, Benson and Stabler are forced to go undercover in a modern-day swingers club to get information about the possible suspects.

jinx Does the plot synopsis of Bombshell sound at all familiar ? How long ago did you see the show you are wondering about ? Was it a re-run of an older show or a new program ?

I don’t think it was Bombshell, but I am not totally sure. I think I saw it within the last ten years, but I could be wrong about that. I think that the woman who kissed the mirror was flirting with a detective behind the mirror.

I read a detailed synopsis of Bombshell and no mention of the window/mirror kiss … but it's a rather small detail so you have not seen it recently .. as say … a re-run this summer ? jinx

I read a detailed synopsis of Bombshell and no mention of the window/mirror kiss … but it's a rather small detail so you have not seen it recently .. as say … a re-run this summer ? jinx There is a scene where she's flirting very un-subtly with Stabler in the interrogation room; I think there might have been some brief business of her posturing around suggestively in front of the two-way mirror before he enters the room, but I don't recall this for certain.
Apropos of nothing, this one has always been one of the bottom list SVU's for me: the tone is schlocky, the big 'shock' ending is ridiculously melodramatic and unbelievable, and McGowan is almost embarrassingly bad with all the OTT pouting, lash-batting and jiggling (I have to admit I've never cared for her as an actress; something about her just gives me the creeps).

amyghost synopsis said this was the one with the sleep disorder twins … ick and . I often skip the SVUs .. prefer the originals ( they need to show those again !) and Major Case because Bobby Goren is so strange (in a good way ). This must have been on recently because that scene seems very familiar and the flirting would fit with the kissing. Until and unless something more definite comes along, I'm goin with Bombshell, semi-final answer !

All I can say, and I’m not contributing much, is that I don’t watch Law & Order (I mean…I’ve seen it. I didn’t like it that much) in general or SVU in particular, so if it’s “Bombshell,” it’s not the one I remember that I mentioned above. (I don’t watch NCIS either.)

NalkarjI liked the original L&O much more than I like SVU. I don't watch SVU regularly but Monday Might is slim pickings so when a story doesn't sound too bad or the guest list is promising I'll watch it on the re-run channel.. sometimes even both of them but I usually nod off during #2 and wake up in time to see the closing credits ! The Major Case ones are more varied, crimewise, and the characters are quirky enough to keep my short attention span engaged. NCIS is off of my radar for several years now. Mark Harmon I liked but the stories too … no reason really... just stopped watching it.
Much prefer the British, Australian and New Zealand mysteries … BUT unlike some people <cough> I cannot figure out who-dunn-it before I get told at the finale !
If you didn't see Bombshell.. you did not miss a good episode at all !
