My first choice would be Emma Stone, as she is who I see playing the role. Second choice would be Teresa Palmer (which I know you would approve of, @deblovesbeccy ). If not either of those^ two...then I wouldn't mind Zoey Deutch in the role.

You might be right with one of your suggestions and I am not that familiar with the actress but she does appear to have the right look for the character in those photos you posted above and there were some updates about the 'Batgirl' movie recently and one was saying 'Batgirl' and 'Supergirl' are being treated as priorities by Warner Bros now and are being fast tracked and 'Batgirl' should be since it should have already been out by now if it didn't have the problem with the director (Joss Whedon) leaving and I remember they said 'Batgirl' was supposed to come out before the second 'Wonder Woman' movie and the second is the movie is said to be having a transgender character in Alysia Yeoh who is Barbara's close friend and roommate and was created by Gail Simone which makes me think the movie is definitely being based on Gail's series. The fans have spoken and Daisy is the choice. Not a bad actress. Say what you will about Star Wars but isn’t Daisy too tied down to Star Wars to work in a movie like this and if DC is competition to Marvel and Disney own Marvel and Star Wars they may not want to lose one of their leading actresses to the other company. Do their contracts prevent them from that? She would more likely get a big female superhero role in the Marvel movies. Whilst I am not a huge fan of the recent SW films I think Daisy is great in them, just the material wasn't the best all the time, so if she gets to be Batgirl that will be awesome, and she's only contracted up till Ep 9 which comes out this Christmas, and she's openly said in the past once she finished up her 3 films she wanted to move onto other characters, this will be a great way to do that, go straight from one major franchise to another so you become the iconic star not the characters alone, it worked for Ford, Arnie and Sly and would be great if it worked for Daisy, plus she's cute.
Also could see Disney not wanting to overlap their SW stars and their MCU stars in visible roles, besides they don't much care about overlap, James Gunn is writing both Suicide Squad 2 and GOTG Vol 3 and directing both right after each other..
I haven’t seen Daisy in many things but caught her in Ophelia the other night and I gotta say she wasn’t half bad in that. Maybe she would make a good Batgirl.

Emma Stone's been a favourite to play Batgirl since she was Mary Jane in The Amazing Spiderman movies. Hang on. Deb is saying she was Gwen Stacy in the movies but my spider senses are telling me that doesn’t sound right. Where was her costume and her superpowers? Whoever she was played the girl has a legion of fans wanting her to play Batgirl and Emma could be what this movie needs.
