Aside from the obvious titles; Final Fantasy VII etc, I would love to see some forgotten titles, some of whom that are not on the PS3 store. Games like Devil Dice, Deathtrap Dungeon, Rollcage, Kurushi, Pandemonium! Akuji the Heartless, Tobal #1, and Nightmare Creatures etc.
Add in some bonus material too, not games, but DVD style content. Demo 1 featurettes, TV spots, Net Yaroze, a mini documentary on the history of PlayStation.

Lame. Why don't they just add backwards compatibility like on Xbox? Sounds like a money grubbing attempt by Sony to cash in on the popularity of the Nintendo classic consoles.
I bet half the games will be games already available to download on PSN. Like FFVII which has already been re-released countless times anyways.
My best friend just started to panic because he's been using retropi to play the old games with his kids and he's worried Sony will sue, following Nintendo's lead. So he's going to hurry up and download everything he wants right away before they stop the flow.
Are any of these games worth replaying, except for nostalgia? I recently play the Crash Bandicoot remasters and they were a bit of fun but there wasn't much excitement to them besides the nostalgia.
This is a hard pass from me. I don't really have fond memories of the PS1. Don't think there are any games that they'd put on it that I'd be interested in playing again. Most of those have been or are being remastered right? Resident Evil has, Tomb Raider got a reboot and is much better in my mind, Crash Bandicoot has, Final Fantasy 7 I keep hearing is getting remastered. I bought the NES Classic because of the Mario games and honestly I barely played it.
Pass. Although the inclusion of Mr Driller and Street Fighter Puzzle is a surprise welcome, the rest is littered with sub standard games like GTA and Destruction Derby. I assume licensing issues and storage capacity were the prime reasons why.
Also, I don't know how you can play MGS without an analog controller. On that note, why release the thing without the dual stick controller???
I just don't see the appeal. People who would be interested in this are people who have already played those games, and those people probably still have the old discs. Maybe they still even have a functioning PS1 console, but the PS2 and even the PS3 will take PS1 games. And the PS1 Classic has 20 games which you can't change, and you can't install more. So meh.
The thing has a mediocre line up. It's not worth picking up until it's less than $20.

Cool Boarders 2 Grand Theft Auto Intelligent Qube Syphon Filter Tekken 3 Twisted Metal
Actually a better lineup than i thought...Those games are all ones i sunk plenty of hours into as a kid. Some i played and never finished like FF7...I wasnt a fan of turn based action at the time so i didnt get the hype...but id prob enjoy it now. Syphon Filter was one of my favorite action shooters and Tekken 3 might still be my fave fighting game of all time. Intelligent Qube i only vaguely remember but positively...Coolboarders 2 was so much fun. And Twisted Metal, a classic. Should include Twisted Metal 2 tho. 2 was heads and shoulders better.
