I want a new one to about a cruise ship disaster. I think that would be pretty cool. Another idea would be a fire that breaks out at a nightclub.

1 and 2 were good. 3 was OK. 4 was terrible. 5 was awesomely meta and a natural closure to the series. Should leave it at that.

For me, the scariest--and most realistic--calamity was #2's logging truck disaster. I live in New England and can't tell you how many times I've been behind trucks with timber piled high upon them. I always keep my distance, just in case one of those logs comes loose--because it COULD happen! THAT is the one that sticks with you... You will never be able to get behind one of those things without flashing back to that scene.

1, 2, and 5 make a good trilogy. 3 is just a rehash of the first and the fourth one is the Freddy's Dead of the series.

I'd see a Part 6. 1,2, and 3 were better than 4 and 5, but I had fun with all of them. The over the top Rube-Goldberg deaths are my favorite.
For the most part, the effects are tasteful and well done. There are some ridiculous story elements, but I can look past them because the movies are mostly fun rides.
Count me in for the cruise ship disaster. I used to work on ships...there are a lot of potentially interesting ways to get killed in that setting.

They're making another? Yay! The first one terrified me as a kid.
