Couldn't take this film seriously. That woman is so dead, having bled out long before she did all the other stuff. No broken bones in the fall, either?

this was a decent revenge flick, not realistic at all
the scene cutting out the branch, was laughable, anyone would pass out from pain

I loved it, but I took it to be a black comedy. It's like American Psycho,(actually if there ever was a new more faithful and violent adaptation of AP the director Coralie Fargeat would be a great choice).
That Phoenix branding scene really cracked me up. Perhaps some people were taking the movie too seriously.
I wonder though why was the movie set in Mexico when it was actually filmed in Morocco?

I thought it was entertaining and hilarious. Blood and gore galore. I was rooting for her all the way. Definitely have to check reality at the door but you have of do that with plenty of flicks.
