If you write the movie in a certain way where you take the easy way out then you get it like that. You can write the movie in a way the "weakest"* of the team, Cyclops, could win where everyone else is powerless. They used easy button on these movies. And DoFP? Mystique shot Magneto.
*I say weakest because all he is is "shootin muh lazers!" in the movies. But you can make him so much more than that.

mcu fans did this movie not move or something, no need to still be scared of a kinberg directed movie. I am sure captain marvel will suck on its own because that is marvel track record and brie has compared her more to a disney princess than an amazon godess.

Just a few, openings are very important for films. they set the tone and show the stakes. it will be a miracle if Kinberg pulls it off.
The first film still has best opening of them all in terms of emotion, motivation and scoring. What a brilliant way to motivate the main villain and make him a relatable monster, not just a nutjob. Certainly one of the best CBM openings ever next to Watchmen, Superman, Batman 89 - lets not forget the iconic musical themes and title cards this introduced. All the other openings are technical improvements but in the end just the icing on the cake. |

But is that in the movie itself? Not even in Wonder Woman did they go that far. They talk about that outside the movie. "X-women" in the movie is pretty bad and blatant. Who the hell is scared of this movie? I want it to come out now just to get it over with.
No, Brie Larson said she was a Disney princess because the character is under the Disney umbrella. But the only Disney princesses outside of actual Disney are Shuri and Leia.

And these clips illustrates why the FOX-Men movies are crap particularly in tone and quality. In X1 not only is the scene with Magneto's family being taken away a classic example of manipulation by Singer it also jarring with the next scene: why afterwards does Singer then jump about 50+ years into the future to the Senate hearing with Jean Grey and never showed what the Nazi's did to Magneto experiment wise??? The same is true for X2: From the pretentious Lincoln quote, to the obvious and clearly suspicious looking baseball cap "disguise" for Nightcrawler to the pretentious music in the back of the CGI laden Matrix style rip off fight with the White House Secret Service, it just becomes laughable as well as contradictory. First of all if Nightcrawler was this good at fighting and teleportation how in the hell did Stryker catch him in the first place??? How is it he could take out all of the White House Secret Service guards and avoid all those bullets before his chance to assassinate the president but the minute Nightcrawler is about to stab the President all of a sudden there NOW is that one plot convenient secret service agent with a gun that can finally hit Nightcrawler??? FC as much as i like it, still suffers from regurgitating past storylines and scenes with nothing very good added, like the revisiting of Magneto's past with the Nazi's only now they present Sebastian Shaw as the head Nazi being responsible for Magneto's mother's death.First of all why butcher the character of Shaw (a leader of the Hellfire club in the comics) as a Nazi desperate to force Magneto to do parlor tricks (this is part of a major problem with the FOX-Men movies where they keep forcing Magneto into X-Men storylines that he didn't belong in the first place like DOFP, or Apocalypse and even the Dark Phoenix storylines or changing the Villains characters and storylines to accommodate them into Magneto's story instead)  Second once MAgneto saw Shaw murder his mother, why does Magneto kill the guards but NOT SHAW |

The horror and violence to Erik and his parents is implied off screen which is always more effective than if its shown. Which is why Eriks parents deaths is more haunting than the lame clip of Starks parents getting murdered and visibly strangled by the Winter Solider in Civil War. A scenario by the way, the entire premise of Civil War depends on which with close scrutiny is so badly contrived it falls apart like a cookie. The 50 year jump is where the movie starts. Lots of movies do this, start with a prologue that happened many years ago and then fast forward to present day. Civil War does this with footage of 1991 at the start, why don't you criticise that. Oh I forgot most MCU fanatics are hypocrites. That X2 scene is more artistic than any CGI action scene from the MCU. Nightcrawler was captured using Strykers mutant controlling fluid. Nightcrawler hesitated in killing the president allowing the secret serviceman to get up and take aim. Nightcrawler isn't psychic. Maybe you should ask yourself how Quicksilver (the inferior version) in AGE OF ULTRON got killed by Ultrons bullets when he was dodging them earlier in the film. Yeah that's what an origin story usually does... Shaw is still a member of the Hellfire Club in FC, pay attention. Hes also exactly what Baron Von Struker should have been in AGE OF ULTRON, an imposing threatening villain, instead being the usual MCU comedic villain and killed off in a humorous over the top style. Magneto as a kid raged uncontrollably and since the soldiers had metal caps on they were unfortunately in his natural reflex of destruction. |

magneto in camps a manipulation by singer? I think that was from the comics not from singer. the movie did not jump 50 years to the future either, since the scene was a flash back of magneto and an introduction to the character. kind of like batman begins were the movie first arc not just opens but interchanges with young Bruce and older bruce or return of the king that opened with a young human gollum.
this is just bad, MCU fans are not even aware of flash backs in films, they think it is bad story telling. what a disgrace.

nightcrawler music was an epic score that showed the stakes, that was good film making, GOTG can learn from when it comes to using music in films. Stryker caught kurt because he is a smart man, experienced with mutant hunting, who actually set out to capture kurt . the white house security guards were not prepared for nightcralwer.

First of all the problem with the MAgneto scene in X1 is that it doesn't mesh in well at all with the senate scene, or the rest of the movie. If Magneto was so damaged by the events of the holocaust which we never see in this movie or having concerns over the survival of mutants, why is he playing with kinetic balls in his lair and laughing at kelly who is suffering, while supposedly trying to convert Kelly into a mutant who condition is highly unstable and is hanging off the edge of a cliff (also does this plan even feel in reality like a plan by Magneto nor does it seem that he or any of his lame brotherhood have the expertise to construct the turning humans into mutants machine) X2 is just as bad as your excuse for Stryker being able capturing a mutant who as presented in this scene should never have been able to be captured in the first place (at least NOT by regular humans) even if Stryker had the BS mutant control fluid plot contrivance. Plus you know you're 100% wrong about Nightcrawler, because he clearly has a toothy smile on his face when he is about to kill the president and there is absolutely no sign of or any sense of regret over killing the president on his face or in his actions.
