Sulla Robyn and Blake have two actor brothers as well: Jason Lively, most famous for playing Rusty Griswold in National Lampoon's European Vacation and actor, Eric Lively. Ha! I never knew Rusty is a Lively. Thanks for the info. I just checked and Eric was a baby and Jason was the son in Brainstorm (1983).

All four of The Beatles are Oscar winners, for Best Music/Original Song Score for Let It Be (1970).
Just learning this now, probably common knowledge for some.

Lionel Stander had six wives! He was also a member of the Communist Party. With six wives, he probably had more involvement with Community Property!

I always thought James Mason and Sam Neill were lookalikes.
Mason starred in Age of Consent from the semi-autobiographical book by Australian painter Norman Lindsay.
Sam Neill played Norman Lindsay in the biopic of part of his life, Sirens.
Watching the TV series Father Brown, there was something familiar about Sorcha Cusack who plays the delightful Bridgette McCarthy. 45 years ago her sister Sinead (who has a familybresemblance) was in the forgotten classic Hoffman with Peter Sellers.

Lionel Stander had six wives! Seemingly Mellow Stan Laurel had five wives plus one common-law wife. One of his wives he married twice. "Laurel insisted that the quote attributed to him, "You know my hobbies; I married them all." was actually dreamed up by the publicity department." www.imdb.com/name/nm0491048/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm#spouse

Two clichΓ©s that I must admit thought was true! has been crushed!
Having access now to a chanel called BBC Britt I've enjoyed a panel show called QI, either led by Stephen Fry or Sandi Toksvig
The African Queen 1951, when Bogey and Kate askes the Captain (played by Peter Bull) to marry them, since he after all is a Captain. Apparentley that is a clichΓ© that is not true, invented by Hollywood amny years ago (They didn't mention what movie). A Captain can indeed do a ceremony or just give it a damn good try, but it's never legal in any country.
The other one was a lady tied between rails awaiting a train set running over her, it was never used in any movies except western comedies and parodies.
If those matters are wrong don't write me, write to BBC, since that's where I heard it!

Barry Fitzgerald known a THE Catholic Priest in so many films β¦ was actually a Protestant. Despite his penchant for portraying priests, Fitzgerald (born William Shields) was a Protestant (and a nationalist), whose brother Arthur Shields was a republican during the upheaval of the early 20th century in Ireland.
Fitzgerald was the only player ever nominated for the Academy Award for both Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor in the same year for the same role. The recognition was for Going My Way (1944). After he received this double nomination, the Academy immediately changed their rules to prevent this from happening again, rules which have remained unchanged to this day.
Along with Al Pacino and Sylvester Stallone, he is one of only three actors to receive Oscar nominations for both Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor for playing the same character:
(1) Fitzgerald was nominated for both awards for playing Father Fitzgibbon in Going My Way (1944), (2) Pacino was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for playing Michael Corleone The Godfather (1972) and Best Actor for the same role in The Godfather: Part II (1974) and (3) Stallone was nominated for Best Actor for playing Rocky Balboa in Rocky (1976) and Best Supporting Actor for the same role in Creed (2015). ok that's it

He's the lead on The Detectorists and had the R Widmark role in the David Suchet TV: Murder on the Orient Express.
He's really good and a character actor who gets to play leads is always fun!
