It was a great movie up to a point near the end. And then there was that dumb pretentious ending. The first half or so of the movie was incredible though. It's quite a shame. It could have been one of the greatest movies of all time had they not totally screwed up the ending. The Cohens are stupid like that. Yeah, the ending really sucked.
Doesn't the book end the same way? It would be worse to tack on an ending that wasn't in the original novel.

Amazing at how the hit man just happens to be going in the right direction to find the radio signal and how the drug cartel just somehow happen to find the guy with the money not once but twice. What I don't get is why the hit man kept on killing those who hired him in the first place. 1. He didn't just happen on it. He was given the tools to locate it. The cartel followed him and then logically followed his family to him. A large part of the point is that none of the characters were equipped to handle the craftiness of evil anymore. Lew was doomed to get caught because he couldn't figure out all the angles. Tommy Lee's character discovered almost too late that the nest way to win is not to play. 2. He didn't. The person who hired him hired two groups and then tried to kill him. I was under the impression he was killing his competition. For all we know, he returned the money.

Very good movie, better the second time. 9/10 That's how I felt, too. It's the kind of movie that gets better after repeat viewings.

One of my favorite movies. I actually liked the ending. I liked how it left it up to the viewer to draw their conclusion.

I'm saying is this actually a good movie? Maybe I just don't get why it is great or whatever. I didn't like it, either. I didn't like Fargo, either.

What a let down!" "I was dreaming. Then I woke up" - Tommy Lee Jones Cool story brah

It was actually quite captivating but the ending just left you hanging. It kinda pissed me off actually. But overall, quite a solid movie. I liked how the movie invited you into the underlying thinking of criminals and what drives their sometimes funny behaviors without having the characters spell it out with awkward dialogues inserted just for the sake of making it clear for the audience.

I thought it was great. I think I liked just about all the characters. Scottish actress Kelly Macdonald nailed the West Texas accent. And I always like to see Barry Corbin in a film. Llewelyn's humanity was his fatal flaw because it was a mistake to go back to the scene of the crime. I didn't expect them to finally get to him, but he really made them work for it.

I'm not a big fan, There Will Be Blood was a much better film and should have taken Best Picture. I don't think it's wholly rewatchable either. 5/10.
