When I watch a youtube video someone has posted to this site, more videos are suggested afterward.
These come from my youtube history, right? Just as if I went directly to youtube.
They do not reflect history of the person who posted, I hope. There is no way anyone's youtube viewing history is going to be made public to other users who watch a video he posted, right?
Just checking.

Right. They're coming from your history; not theirs.
When you view an embedded YouTube video, it's functionally the same as watching it on their website. The embed knows what YouTube user you are and therefore your history.
In short, it's not giving out any information based on who posted the video.

That gave me a bit of a fright, seeing my own history after I posted a video of my own and thinking other people could see it as well. Then I noticed it looked it was always my history I saw from any video, but I wasn't sure. Thanks.

Websites use cookies, which learn things about me from my computer. Is it possible for cookies from some website to monitor what I watch on youtube and send that info back to another site? Or are cookies limited to my past interaction with the site they belong to?

I experienced the same thing and it threw me off at first. It only means that YouTube has its hooks into you (like it has it hooks into me) regarding what you like and subscribe to. It doesn't mean that others can see it. Trust me on this. I tell you truly, if my enemies could see the conspiracy theories that I subscribe to, they would have had me on their torture rack some years ago.

I wonder where a person's history is stored, is it kept by youtube or stored on one's own machine? I didn't take a chance and went and deleted the few videos I have posted. I'll probably replace them.

When you link to a video, it's the same as if the user looked it up on YouTube themselves. None of your account information is revealed.
