Weaselly characters: Usually they're not outright evil, just cowardly and craven. If a masked slasher is approaching, they will take the car and leave their companions to die. If there is a profit to be made they will sell you out. Often they meet a bad end. Which are your favorite or otherwise notable weaselly movie characters?

Bob Balaban, to me, is the king of weaselly characters. Just watch The Late Shift, Absence of Malice, or Midnight Cowboy.

Beni in the Mummy (1999) I believe Evelyn even remarks to him that his "kind" always has a bad ending (to that effect).

Carl Showalter (Steve Buscemi) in Fargo.
Satipo (Alfred Molina) in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Any character played by William Atherton like Peck or Dick.

The original 'Jurassic Park' had two weaselly characters: the lawyer and the character played by actor Wayne Knight, who had the better death of the two, I think.

'Weaselly' makes me think of someone like deputy Brad Dourif in mississippi burning...or Paul Dano in 12 years a slave.
Elisha Cook Jr. played a few weasels in his day...film noirs etc.

Joe Pesci - Lethal Weapon movies Except that he wasn't weaselly...he always had Riggs and Murtaugh's backs, even when they didn't want him to. A pain in the ass sure, but he could be counted on.
