"This is not a valid link"
Keep getting this message when trying to choose a new avatar image in edit profile. Size does not seem to be the problem.
Some work. Some don't. Is there something that needs to be watched for when choosing an image so that disappointment can be avoided ? Am looking on yahoo image.

I see. When you pasted it in, did you keep the "http://" in the image name?

I did the rejected ones just as I do the ones it accepts. So for the first image, you used: http://www.americas-most-haunted.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/95673687hnvwvs_ph.jpg That one seems to work fine. The second one actually seems to be linked to a script on their server. You should be able to get it to work by removing the question mark and everything following it. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1124/9324/products/Vampire_Bat_Puppet_1_large.jpg Also got that one to work. See if that fixes it for you.

Still not working consistently When using the insert image in profile is the http:// already in the box supposed to be left there or deleted (like when inserting an image in the posts) ? I have watched for the '?" in the urls and there have been none so that's not generally the problem. Image Size still does not seem to be the problem. Is there something else to be looked for in general when trying to choose an avatar image ?
