As the 'trail' of this crime grows colder the further we get from November 22, 1963, what, if anything, would it now take to help solve it, one way or the other? For instance, I would think that if authenticated film were to suddenly surface that shows men standing behind, and firing weapons from the picket fence on the grassy knoll, with easily identifiable visual clues as J.F.K.'s motorcade passed by on Elm Street that day, it would, most likely, dispel the notion of the 'lone nut' theory forever (though, by itself, would not solve the assassination, unless it then led to other information, which eventually did). Or, if you'd rather, the discovery of authenticated film photographed from behind the shooter in the 'sniper's nest' on the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository, showing Lee Harvey Oswald CLEARLY firing the Italian Mannlicher-Carcano (or German Mauser, or whatever it actually was....) at the motorcade as it passed below (though, by itself, something that would only implicate Oswald, and not necessarily anybody else who may, or may not have been involved in the crime itself). Would these, or any other items/information you can think of were they to now turn up, conclusively lead to "solving" this assassination? Or has the passage of time, the death of many/most/all 'participants', and the decay/destruction/loss of key evidence made it nearly, if not completely impossible to ever be able to achieve ?? The key to this was Jack Ruby. Dorothy Kilgallen was on track to expose this but she died unexpectedly before reporting on this. Read the book "Not in Your Lifetime" Anthony Summers.

I honestly can't remember where I read or heard that but the biggest challenge is not finding the truth but making the distinction between what is relevant and what is not, in face of the amount of info on the subject. So much has been said, both by well intended and no-so-well intended people, that there is "confusion" in the stream of information. To really sort it out, it would take a huge, huge amount of time an resources. Now, some information is still being withheld from the public (remember that some is still being held by the agencies: www.cnn.com/2017/10/26/politics/jfk-assassination-files-classified-document-release-donald-trump/index.html ) so we simply know that our knowledge is incomplete at best. I don't know, why 55 years later, some documents are still being kept secret? Pretty much everybody involved is dead or on their death beds so it can't ruin anybody's live anymore. It could tarnish some names or agencies but it sure can't start WW3. So what is the reason for withholding those? Why not give the info to solve the question once and for all? Despite that, there are still bits of info out there that raise some questions. For example, find the clip of the Parkland hospital (the Dallas hospital to which Kennedy was moved before being transferred to Bethesda) doctors and notice where they place the gaping wound on his head and compare that to the official pictures of the autopsy made at Bethesda.
