13 Actors/actresses who died or was badly injured during the making of a movie. Stunt men/women accepted. Image preferred if available. 01. Roy Kinnear - On 19 September 1988, Kinnear fell from a horse during the making of "The Return of the Musketeers" in Toledo, Spain, and sustained a broken pelvis and internal bleeding. He was taken to hospital in Madrid, but died the next day from a heart attack, brought on by his injuries. He was 54 years old. 02. Jeffrey Hunter - seriously injured in an on-set explosion while making the film Cry Chicago in November 1968 ... he died a few months later 03. Dick Grace (stunt pilot) - During filming of the World War I aerial combat scenes for Wings (1927), Grace was required to deliberately crash-land a Fokker D-VII, specially modified to "crumple" on impact. When the Fokker struck the ground, the landing gear failed to crumple, making the impact a heavier one than planned. This caused Grace's safety straps to break, sending his head through the instrument panel, leaving him with four crushed vertebrae and a broken neck. Amazingly, Grace spent only six weeks in the hospital and was again performing stunt work within a year. 04. Oliver Reed (actor). Reed died (from a heart attack) during the filming of Ridley Scott's Gladiator (2000), and it cost the company $3 million to recreate his face so he could "appear" in the scenes he still had left to shoot. 05. Marilyn Monroe - We all know the "suicide" story which gave rise to the abandonment of her last movie "Something's Got to Give" with co-star Dean Martin.
