I watched a short video a while back about how movie comedies make stalkers who won’t leave women alone into cute and funny characters. One clip showed a girl (looked high school age) on a Ferris wheel when, suddenly, the guy who had been asking for a date appears in front of her hanging from a metal bar and threatening to fall if she doesn’t agree to go out with him. In a panic, she agrees. Anybody know the movie? Looks terrible.

Do you know what the video is, mikef6 ? No, I haven't found it again. It was sent to me over Facebook by one of my so-called friends - possibly my sister who shares dozens of items every day. Hopeless to find it that way. I did do a brief search on YouTube but got so many hits that had nothing to do with my search terms that I gave it up.

mikef6, could this be it? The Notebook? I’ve never seen it, it’s not my cup of tea (to say the least!), but TV Tropes has this description: “Noah climbs onto a moving Ferris Wheel to ask Allie out, right in front of her current date. He even blackmails her by threatening to let himself fall.”

Was it the search feature at IMDb? I never had any luck with that - about the same as my success rate at YouTube. Thanks so very much.

‘Course, don’t mention it, mikef6. I Googled “ferris wheel, date, falling” and didn’t see anything, but one link was for TV Tropes, so I went there, and they had that page above, and there it was.

The last one to take a lot of time was the Curious World mystery on Reddit, which took a lot of research. And unfortunately I’m no further on Sleuth (WillEd, by the way, got back to me and doesn’t think it’s Kernan, but I still think it’s Kernan) or the girl in Raiders.
