But Infinity War was crap. Everyone knows the X-Men movies are better. Exactly. Good point.

why do most mcu fans think infinity war is better than black panther? Have you spoke to each and every one of them? A few crappy messageboards does not represent the majority.

That is just a joke and it shows mcu fans dont know jack about movie credibility and film making
Agreed. It's a total joke to think that Infinity War is in the same class as an Oscar-nominated movie like Logan. But it isn't surprising that MCU fans have no credibility when it comes to good filmmaking, as 1 MCU fan repeatedly claimed that MCU movies are better than The Godfather. But I don't think you'll find any MCU fans (seriously) starting about 10 threads about Infinity Wars certain Best Picture nomination. Not like someone did for Wonder Woman.

I can't really name many movies with ten years worth of build up and such an amazing ensemble of vastly different characters interacting with each other that is as well-done as Infinity War was that is so crowd pleasing but also pretty bold with some of its storytelling decisions. It is so easy to screw up yet Marvel Studios knocked it out of the ballpark, The Dark Knight and Logan both are great but they're only restricted to focusing on a single character and present the world as being quite small in comparison. Infinity War definitely deserves some Oscar nominations, those who say the movie was either unimpressive, pointless, or just plain bad are deluding themselves with personal bias and trying to exaggerate whatever qualms they have to the next level - you think a movie like this could've been easy to make in the early 00's or even the mid 90's and get as much acclaim and financial gain?

I'd support this over Black Panther honestly. Well yeah but even Venom is better than BP but it doesn’t deserve Oscar noms, and neither does Infinity War. Venom is a better movie than Black Panther in what world? So what movies from this year do deserve Oscar nominations in your opinion?

I personally think that they should’ve waited until ‘Avengers 4’.
