… and it was okay. The best thing I can say about it was that I didn't hate it. Eh. It didn't bore me out of my mind, unlike Rogue One, but it did beat me over the head with callbacks. They should've named it Reference: A Star Wars Story. Also, L3 annoyed me at times with all that talk of droid rights. I get why they did it, but it was a bit much. She also kinda sounded like a man at first. Good thing they were thick on the "she" and "her" pronouns. I was so relieved when they killed her off.  |

opening weekend I think. Was moderately entertained by it (6.5/10) as underlit as it is underwritten but serviceable especially after the director disasters. After R1 my favorite Disney Star Wars.

I saw it when it hit Blu.
I hadn’t expected much,
And was down on it through production.
The trailer intrigued me.
I ended up enjoying it.
Especially for the atmosphere,
And cool enriched world-building.
That said,
Didn’t feel like Han to me.
Pretty much the whole thing
reminded me much more of
Chris Pine & Star Trek ‘09.

I saw it the other day because my dad had it for Christmas.
It was a pretty good movie. I think I probably preferred it to Rogue One but it's not as good as the main movies.
Han Solo didn't feel like Han Solo and the villain wasn't very good but it was entertaining enough and interesting to watch.

It was alright. One of the weaker installments but I don’t think it’s bad; just a bit pointless in its existence. Mainly because it doesn’t add anything to the mythology or story and just tells the backstory of Han Solo even though in present time he died. I do like the Easter eggs we get and Alden Ehrenreich (or however you spell it) did a great job as a young Han.
I think I might prefer it to Rogue One, but to be fair, at least R1 had a special tie-in to the OT. Also, I think the Vader hallway scene in that film was the best out of any Disney SW movie, despite all of them being good in their own way (even TLJ). So I guess as an eventful film, Rogue One is better, but Solo was surprisingly more fun.

Saw it on Netflix, finally.
A fairly decent little adventure. I can't really get into a Star Wars film without the Force. I always saw Solo as someone running through the series denying the Force while being smack dab in the middle of it, eventually coming to a realization. I guess this doesn't change that, but this story would have been something I enjoyed if it carried at least a little of the mythos. Kasdan must have thought he could write a compelling Star Wars film, without the mythos at all. Sorry Larry, I guess George wins that round, pretty soundly.
Bottom of my list as far as the franchise. I can see why it didn't wow the audience much.
